I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month. Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now! Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said! I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style. The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters. Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo
Did I tell you already that I just adore my little white Christmas tree? So much fun to decorate!
This years 4th of July tablescape was kid friendly...I decided to make everything easy, carefree but cute. I began with a Heart, an Apple and a USA Flag....Ya can't wrong with this mixture for a centerpiece now can ya?
My blue enamel tea pot is one of my favorite pieces and yes, I have plates to match (hee-hee) Added some greenery, a little garland and there ya go! Works for me!
Nestled the centerpiece on a patriotic place mat and added a few apples. I actually had more apples but the 3 year old grandgirl decided to see if they were REAL!
Old but still holding on...are my Dollar Tree coasters!
With these cute glasses sitting on top of them.
Blue place mats, white plates and just the cutest little red star shaped dessert plates! Found these at the Dollar Tree! Kid friendly and throwaway!
Since I decided to do a little real and a little paper/plastic and kid friendly I decided on this for my white flatware.
White paper cups (8 to a pack from the Dollar Tree) with a little garland around each one. I actually slapped just a dab of glue on the cup to hold the garland in place. Flatware tucked inside the napkin in the cup and placed in the middle of each place setting.
Now this served several purposes. One to hold the flatware and napkin and the other purpose was for the grandbabies to drink out of. TOSSED when used. ( I bought a stash so was good to go)
Isn't he just the cutest thing ever? I named him Willard. I don't know why but he just looked like a Willard to me!
Simple red candle with a little garland wrapped around them. Put one on each end of the table. No, I didn't light them! With the garland I really didn't want to LIGHT up the place!
Simple, kid friendly and cute...
Bought one of the cute little red pinwheel fans from the Dollar Tree and opened it up, cut it in two and made two little back covers for the chairs. Was going to stick a patriotic bow on the back but time just got away from me!
YEPPERS, I had some large cans left over from a previous project...
Had some gingham material and cut out just a few pieces to tuck in the sides of the can, glued a bow on the front, added some carnations and topped with a star!
More pinwheels and lanterns.
Dollar Tree hat with flowers! Too cute don't ya think?
You gotta have apple pie right?
Nothing more festive than a jar of red pickle rings and dill pickles all from my garden topped with a little red, white and blue!
Don't ya just love this cheese spreader?
And this one too?
And...I can use the red and white one at Christmas too!
Really cute on my pretty dishes.
Worked for me with rolls and butter.
Yeah I get a little crazy sometimes but thought the cute little star shaped plastic plates was perfect too!
And what July 4th could be complete without a sparkler?
Heather from http://whipperberry.com/ shared this printable. Pop over and print if you want too. (Thanks Heather) my grands loved it.
I bought a box of Sparklers (5 to a box). I used my hole puncher and punched two small holes at the top and two at the bottom. Inserted the sparklers through the holes. Used 2 per cutout.
Secured the back with tape.
Placed in a cute little basket and well, once again...my grands were happy campers!
I have enjoyed sharing my 4th of July with you this year. I hope you all have a wonderful and safe 4th!

Your 4th of July décor is great!! Your grandkids will love that table and those sparklers! Love Dollar Tree, too. Our DAR group used those star-shaped plates at our Veterans Recognition Tea in May. They make for a gorgeous table! Have a great (and safe) celebration, Cindy!!

A sparkling 4th of July table and festive setting for your family party! I love how you give attention to the small details - you think like me - in the details. Ed and I kept low key this year - no parties. We went to the band concert at the park and enjoyed dancing to some swing music, but it got so cold and we didn't dress for chilly. We went home and watched John Adams while listening to the fireworks. I love quiet and cozy.
ReplyDeleteJoy!
