{March is well under way}

February days are now gone and March has officially kicked in.   I finally purchased a new monthly focus board.  We ventured out for a day date which included a movie. I love our day dates. I will give my honest review about the movie for those interested. I wanted to see this movie as it was based on a true story. I did enjoy the movie but oh my, it was a tear jerker from the get go! It ended good but mercy! Let's just say that I am thankful that no one was sitting close enough to see my tear stained face. I am glad that I saw it but I am good for a while on sad movies, even if they do end good!   My oldest daughter, her husband and their son participated in the Spartan race which is a series of obstacle courses that challenge. They done so well. As you can see from the pictures it gets pretty muddy!  My three daughters participate each year in the Gate River Run. I love it that they do this together. They have so much support & encouragement from all the onlookers. I am just

{Glimpse of Life and a Question for You}

Aren't my window plants (as my man calls them) just pretty ? I have two of these window plants on my She-Shed outside and they have thrived all summer despite the heat.

My Morning Glory has taken off growing too. A dear friend of mine and co/bible study leader gave out flower seeds one night in Bible Study and mine was Morning Glory. As soon as my Morning Glory was big enough to take out of the pot I planted it in the ground and I cannot wait for it to bloom.

My sister Mary gave me a new sign for my little office at home. I love it. Funny thing was the day she gave it to me I had just had the opportunity to share with someone the power of prayer and how I had seen first hand God answer prayer on behalf of myself, my children, grandchildren and our church. Then my sister winds up at Walmart and gets into a deep conversation with a lady on the power of prayer. Ain't God just good?

Yep, I think I like right it there.

I had a fun day with these three girls. We went shopping and out to eat and to the hair salon. That baby hasn't had a hair cut yet. I know there will come a time when she will need some trimming but for now, she is happy just sitting in the little car that the little kids get to sit in when they get a hair cut.

She's too busy eating chocolate chip cookies to get a hair cut. LOL!

My oldest two grands are just growing up too fast for me. Can't believe I have a teenage grandgirl. My grandson is getting ready to play another season of football. Fun times ahead.

  I snapped a few pictures of these two grand girls while at the beach. Needless to say I've had a hard time picking my favorite.

Sorry for the picture overload of the girls but dang, too many good ones not to share,right?

Well ONE MORE....

Well, this is another chapter in my life my friends. I hope you all have a great week. I do have a question for you today though. What is it that you are desperate for God to do in your life right now? He is only a prayer away.

Hugs and blessings, Cindy

    What am I desperate for God to do for me today? It is a long story, of which He has heard many times, but it involves my dear mama's health.

I'm facing a mountain and God told me He will always be with me as I climb it and give me the strength each day to get to the top. I believe He is doing more than just a physical healing in me but a work of wholeness too; I'm on a journey with Him. Full knee replacement surgery on 8/25. Appreciate prayer! 12. Oh Cindy, I have enjoyed these glimpses of your life. The photos of your grands are fabulous...it's so nice to have a built-in photographer in the family! I know what you mean about the grands getting so big...my two oldest are 18 and 16 already! I love, love, love that little sign about prayer and it looks perfect of your desk...in your "unfinished" room...LOL! Actually, I am really looking forward to seeing it! And Morning Glory is one my faves...look back on my blog when you get time and click on the Morning Glory label. :) Hugs!

  13. Oh, I loved seeing the pictures! They are just precious...and the one at the end is just so perfect. They will cherish that throughout life...the best of friends. :) Oh, my, what am I desperate for God to do right now? Several things...intercessory prayer is a big part of my days. He is ever faithful, and I often hear my dear Mom's words, "Cheryl, God has His own timetable. You can't rush God." Sometimes what I am desperate for, He sees as something that is not so urgent, and I have to submit my demands for speed to His wisdom and come to understand that He absolutely does know what is best. Sitting in the waiting room as He works is very frustrating to me, and I often struggle with the temptation to hurry things along. I am learning...as Paul, to be content. Thank you for making me think today! Love you, sweet friend. :)

  17. Dear Cindy! I just had to stop back over and visit you to tell you how deeply you touched my heart. Sometimes, we can become so "weary in well doing", we can feel like nothing we are striving to do for God really matters or is being a blessing to others. A while back, I had mentioned in two separate posts something God gave to me, and you must have read it, because you mentioned it in your comment on my blog...oh, I cannot tell you how much that encouraged my heart! It was this, "When we don't understand His logic, we must trust His wisdom". It touched me so much that you read it, that it stuck with you, and then you repeated it back to me when I needed to be reminded. See how the Holy Spirit works? Iron sharpens iron...I am just in awe of HIM and His amazing orchestration of our lives. Through YOU and your precious obedience to do what He asks you to do, He has lifted me this morning. He has let me know that our labors are NOT in vain in the Lord. That someone, somewhere is being touched and blessed by our obedience, and they will turn around and pass on that blessing to others...sometimes even back to us, when we need it most. THANK YOU, sweet friend. Love and appreciate you so much!

  24. Hi Cindy, what a wonderful post sharing the power of prayer. Yes, I know too well how praying just makes everything better. Even when we wait for the answers on God's time, praying is that constant conversation that leads us. I am always in pray as I go about my day.
    Love the sign in your office room. How wonderful your morning glories have grown. I tried them this year and they just didn't take hold. I try again next spring. Your grandchildren are all adorable and you can see the love in their eyes. Sweet blessings all.

    1. Thank you my friend for coming by to see me. Yes, the power of prayer is great. There has been times in my life that I wondered how He would answer but I never have doubted that He wouldn't answer. His answer may not have been wanted I wanted but knowing that He never makes a mistake was all that I needed.

  25. Your grandbabies are beautiful! I love the sign your sister gave you. I have one that says "A Family That Prays Together, Stays Together". I don't know if I am desperately desiring this, but I do desire for my sons to find Christian helpmates. Neither are dating and both are almost ready for a helpmate. My husband and I (as well as their grandparents) have been praying earnestly for the Lord to send fine, Christian women to them in HIS timing. So I guess I need to pray for patience too! Thank you for a beautiful post!

    1. So glad you dropped by Lynda. Oh I know your heart desire concerning your children. We always want the best for our kids but when It's God's best it can't be beat. And it doesn't stop with the kids, then the grands start coming along. A pastor friend of mine said recently that a parent prays till they die. SO VERY TRUE! His timing is always perfect though I too have had to try to learn the WORD Patient! I am constantly reminded here lately that it's all in God's timing and not mine.

    1. Yep, that chocolate cookie made her day. That little one loves her a cookie. Thank you for your sweet compliment on the pictures of my grands. Oh my friend, I pray right now with you that your children that do not know Jesus will come to know Him soon and very soon. Before my first grandchild was ever conceived I remember vividly praying that my grandbabies would all come to know Jesus at an early age and that they would follow His footsteps and love Him with all of their hearts, soul and minds. God hears our prayers and nothing better to hit the throne than a mama's prayer or a nana's prayer.

  28. I love the glimpses into your life Cindy! Your grandkids pictures are all so adorable! I remember the first days of school, and how sad it was for me to see them back off to the schoolhouse after a summer of fun. The pictures of your grandgirls on the beach is beyond adorable! The light! I love the lighting, the time of day you chose, their expressions, and the beautiful joy exuding from their hearts to their faces. You are blessed with that talent, dear friend!

    And of course - prayer, oh my, how wonderful it is to have the conversation with the Lord, and know that we can just leave it there with Him. So many times I have prayed, thinking through every possible answer I could come up with, and then His answer came, so unlike and far from my own, and how thankful I was that His answer was what I got, and not mine! Many, many times over that has happened, so now, I always pray, Lord, your will be done, in all things.

    Like King David, we can cry out to the Lord with our problems, but every Psalm of David's ended in praise.. while it may have started out in anguish of heart and soul, he ended in praise... and that right there is our answer, every time! I have found it to be so true. When I carry my burden to HIM, let Him know about it, then lift my eyes and heart to Him, believing and praising... there is a change that takes place in my heart that may not change the circumstance, but changes me... and I can leave that place of prayer knowing HE heard, He cares, and HE will answer, in His time.

    Sorry that got so long! But I just wanted to share that with you. Praying, and believing the Lord in all things, for our children, for this country, and for those who don't know our precious Lord... love and hugs to you dear friend!

Hiding the Ugly Hot Water Heater

 I shared that I wanted to hide my ugly hot water heater in my laundry room with you a few weeks ago. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. But after all it is a hot water heater right? So my man took a piece of wood (not real wood) but it worked and built a frame for me. So now to see if it would fit and it did. I painted it white and did not like the texture it had even after two coats of white. (rule of thumb...you get what you pay for and the wood was cheap) But I wasn't going to let it whip me!  Found some contact paper at Walmart in the gray and white. Covered the front with the contact paper and loved the look. The top was covered with a piece of painted wood as well and worked perfect to place this on top... And this.... Added a clothes basket in the corner and here was the top.... Yep, no longer an eye sore to me! Went perfect with my gray walls and gray and white floor. Remember the wood tray I bought at a yard

{Another Fun Filled Weekend}

I hope you all are doing well. I am trying to wind down for the night and thought I would try and get a post out. Girls, by this time I am in my fat clothes and recliner smashing that remote control!   Marty and I kicked off our weekend by having a little fun food as I call it,  "charcuterie" style out by the pond. Of course I always fix more than we need or eat but it sure was good.  Two of our granddaughters had dance recitals over the weekend so we got to watch them perform and oh my! They were just the cutest things ever.  We were blessed to be able to see them perform. Then we celebrated a birthday for this sweet grandgirl! She was excited about being double digits . And besides all the fun from the weekend I was able to see some of my pretties in bloom.  Now to enjoy a cup of coffee.... I hope that you all have a wonderful, blessed week.  Hugs and blessings, Cindy

{Happy 46th Wedding Anniversary To Us}

  Happy October everyone! I wanted to pop in today and share a few pictures. Marty and I celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary on September 23.  Oh it seems so long ago that we said "I Do". We started dating when I was 16. Married at 18 and began a family at 20. Needless to say we have surely grown up together. Praise the Lord that we are growing "Older" together.  We decided since it had been about 8-9 years since we had been to Savannah, Ga. that we would take a weekend there and just enjoy a scenic luncheon cruise.  We enjoyed walking River street and sightseeing, shopping and eating of course! It was a nice get away and perfect for us as we are simply two imperfect people that fit perfectly together.  I did spot Santa while in Savannah though! YES, I love Christmas so I had to stop at several Christmas shops! We've had outings that have kept us quite busy and we have surely been blessed to be able to attend our grands functions and our little outings toget
