February days are now gone and March has officially kicked in. I finally purchased a new monthly focus board. We ventured out for a day date which included a movie. I love our day dates. I will give my honest review about the movie for those interested. I wanted to see this movie as it was based on a true story. I did enjoy the movie but oh my, it was a tear jerker from the get go! It ended good but mercy! Let's just say that I am thankful that no one was sitting close enough to see my tear stained face. I am glad that I saw it but I am good for a while on sad movies, even if they do end good! My oldest daughter, her husband and their son participated in the Spartan race which is a series of obstacle courses that challenge. They done so well. As you can see from the pictures it gets pretty muddy! My three daughters participate each year in the Gate River Run. I love it that they do this together. They have so much support & encouragement from all the onlookers. I am just
Are you like me...some days you just have to say out loud, "LORD, I need YOUR Grace TODAY and yesterday wouldn't have been too soon with it!!!!
Grace doesn't exempt us from anything. Grace takes us through whatever we are going through or dealing with.
A friend of mine that I had worked with for many years just recently lost her 2nd son, 2nd child, in which both were adults. I cannot even begin to imagine what she is going through nor do I want too. All I know is that GOD'S GRACE will be all that will keep her going through this time of grief.
Another friend of mine passed away this past weekend from a stroke. She on the other hand was an older woman and ready to go home to be with the Lord. The way she slipped out of this world into heaven with the Lord was recorded as being a sweet, no pain, homecoming. GRACE, GRACE, GOD'S GRACE!
Another lady that I know just got the news that she has colon cancer......I have spoken with her numerous times now and saw her recently in a store. She had just had her first chemo treatment several days before that. I asked her, "What is the world are you doing out and about?". In her conversation to me she said, "God's Grace will carry me through this". GRACE, GRACE, GOD'S Grace.
I got an email from a blogging friend and though I can't share her name or her location (permission to say this was granted) asking that I pray for her son. Her son who is a deacon of his church, faithful Christian man who have been married for 18 years to his high school sweetheart with one child who is 12 came home to be greeted by his wife at the door. Her words was, " I am seeing another man and have been for two years and I want a divorce!. The man is also a fellow deacon of the same church. My blogging friend stated, "How will he ever make it?". All I could answer back was, "GRACE, GRACE, GOD'S GRACE!
Oh my list could go on and on. How do we cope with the trials of life?

I love this poem:
A Glimpse of Grace
by Kathleen Higham
North South East and West
He holds the corners in His hand
From each mountain flows a stream
Holy fingers caress the land.
Then, lifts the sun in the sky
As misty valleys touched with dew
Glistening flowers adorn the earth
When God stooped down, He knew.
All that we needed was provided
Stretched endlessly to the sea
The moon and stars direct the tide
Intricately planned for you and me.
Yet, we question and ponder
Ask God what will happen next
As the wonders of the world fade
The human heart remains perplexed.
Always searching for the answer
When four corners He draws near
We stumble and fall a million times
Until we cry out to Him in fear.
But, He stoops down, finds us
Then wipes the tears from every face
When at last we look up to Him
And feel the awe of this place.
Hear the sound of a newborn cry
When startled to run the race
He stoops down to this new life
Instills the first glimpse of grace.
Where unfailing love will abound
Unearned, but still He gives
A Glimpse of Grace revealed in Him
Cries out! "Our Savior lives!"

God's grace is what gets me through the days since my daughter Amber went to Heaven. As a mother you think how would you ever go on after burying a child. You have to get up each morning (if you sleep at all) and put one foot in front of the other. I know with God's love and grace I will make it! I remember each day that one day we will all be reunited again one day. Without my faith I don't know if I could make it! God is good!

Oh, Cindy! This is such a wonderful post. Yes, we make it through by God's grace! Can't thank him enough. I appreciate your Wednesdays in the Word!
ReplyDeleteBless you, Cindy.
You are a sweetie,

Yes indeed Miss Cindy. Without God's Grace how would we ever make it this world? Nita B
ReplyDeleteYes. Grace, GRACE, God's Grace!! We got word last week that a family member, girl, 18 years old, had to have brain surgery. She had been complaining of headaches since she was a child. They couldn't figure it out. It wasn't migraines, they said. Now they find out her BRAIN had slid down the the back of her head causing the headaches. The family was called together (which is where I am today). We prayed and relied on God's Grace. She had the surgery on Thursday. SUCCESSFUL! She was doing so well that the doctor's were so surprised, and they let her come home on Sunday. Part of her head is shaved, and has a big cut down the back of her head and neck which is already healing. We PRAISE GOD for His mercies and His Grace!! She is healing so well and already getting around, slowly, but surely. Thank you Father for Your Amazing Grace. Since she is doing so well, we will probably head home tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThank you Cindy, for posting this. I am so thankful that we have you for these wonderful reminders of our Father in heaven.
Hugs,
Brenda
