{May Has Arrived}

  I sure hope that your May has kicked off to a good start. The heat is settling in quick around our parts.  We've kicked off May with watching our softball girls win the District. Next week we start another round of ball. It's so much fun to watch these girls and especially our girl, Mallory. She plays centerfield.  We were so proud of both teams that played against each other. They all, hand in hand gathered together as one of our girls prayed for the game and also for one of our young men that was in a horrific car accident and fighting. His name is Kaden if you can think to lift him up to our Lord.  I had the opportunity recently to speak to a group of women at a ladies luncheon event at a local church. Oh we had so much fun. I wished I had gotten pictures of the beautiful decorations. We had a TEA PARTY and we each kept the cup that we drank out of it.  Isn't she just lovely? Easter has come and gone but we sure have a great time with family. We gather each...

Welcome to Tuesday Toots

Last Tuesday I shared a few pictures with you on our Mountain Trip. Beautiful cabin, pretty snow and breathtaking mountains. If you missed that post you can see it here http://creationsbycindyphotography.blogspot.com/2012/02/tuesday-toots.html

Join me as we browse around the cabin....

These pictures DO NOT do justice to the beauty and design of this cabin. But at least you can get a glimse.

I love the wood in the cabin. I love anything rustic. Especially if it has a touch of Tuscany. The living room was a mixture of decor that consisted of deer, fish, birds, pine cones and just a rustic feel.Love how they splashed around some red with the chocolate colors.

The fireplace was very pretty though this picture does not do it justice. It was a gas fireplace. Now personally, I don't care much for gas fireplaces. Love me a chop the wood and build me a fire kinda gal. But I really loved the simplicity of "just" hitting a button and the fireplace came on!

Next Stop....the kitchen....

Love the decor on top of the cabinets. Needless to say it gave me an itching to re-do mine! Which I plan too!

Love the basket here....

The Dining room had a very pretty view of the mountains though you can't really tell it from this picture! Take my word for it!!! Ha! I loved the wood walls and wood ceilings.

Porches surrounded this cabin with lots of stairs!!!! Needless to say I got my workout that week!

Looking down from the loft!

This next picture will give you an idea of how high we were....and yes, that is snow!

Marty playing in the snow! I ZOOMED him in to get a half way decent shot as I was standing on a 3rd level porch.

Hope you have enjoyed my 2nd round of Tuesday Toots! Next week I will share some pictures of the lovely bathrooms, game room, private porches and beautiful bedroom! Oh and the heart shaped jacuzzi!

Here is one to enjoy for today.

Hope you've enjoyed your visit at the cabin today. I sure have!

GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!

Hiding the Ugly Hot Water Heater

 I shared that I wanted to hide my ugly hot water heater in my laundry room with you a few weeks ago. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. But after all it is a hot water heater right? So my man took a piece of wood (not real wood) but it worked and built a frame for me. So now to see if it would fit and it did. I painted it white and did not like the texture it had even after two coats of white. (rule of thumb...you get what you pay for and the wood was cheap) But I wasn't going to let it whip me!  Found some contact paper at Walmart in the gray and white. Covered the front with the contact paper and loved the look. The top was covered with a piece of painted wood as well and worked perfect to place this on top... And this.... Added a clothes basket in the corner and here was the top.... Yep, no longer an eye sore to me! Went perfect with my gray walls and gray and white floor. Remember the wood tray I bought at a...

{March Is Underway}

  Welcome to March! The little grands and I kicked off March with a sleepover at Nana's house. They are so much fun and so energetic. COFFEE has earned my love forever for sure! LOL!  We started out with a sack lunch from Burger King (their favorite) and headed to a cute little park that is only about 2 miles from where I live. The girls has so much fun. The girls put in for Nana to ride the horsey. Well, y'all know I had to show those littles that Nana still can do that!!! Two of the girls wanted to play with the old Halloween wigs but the youngest one opted out. She said it made her head itch. LOL!  We had a tea party for breakfast. Our tea party consisted of smoked sausage, peaches and chocolate chip cookies. Yummy to my tummy the youngest one said! I finally got around to making myself a healthy fruity Icee. I made the girls snow cones out of the same healthy fruits. Guess I needed too so they wouldn't be so hyped up from all the cookies when returning home. Hee-hee!...

{It's Been A Hot Minute Y'all}

  Well, it's not HOT in my neck of the woods in temperature (not today anyway) but it's sure been a HOT minute since I last posted. For that I am so sorry but it seems my life has been consumed with doctor appointments, tests, and MORE tests, biopsies, surgery and so much more. One day at a time sweet Jesus is all that any of us can ask for. Wanted to pop in on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to share a little about what I've been up too.  Marty and I enjoyed a weekend at the beach before I had breast cancer surgery and took advantage of the time I had in between so many doctor appointments and testing. It was sure a good little getaway.  We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary in September. WOW! Just babies! LOL! We were high school sweethearts. Started dating at age 16. Married at age 18 and started a family at age 20.  We celebrated Marty's birthday in October. He says that he's feeling his age these days. LOL! He still works 4 days a week and has a long commu...
