{Happy Resurrection Day}

I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month.  Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now!  Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said!  I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style.  The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters.  Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo

{Beach Vibes}

Happy Sunday afternoon everyone. Marty and I had a little getaway for three days at the beach and listening to ocean roar. Feeling that beach wind blow across my face, sand between my toes and breathing in the salt air just did my heart good. It's amazing to me how the nature of God brings sunshine to our soul. I done a little reading in which I love to do while sitting on the beach. Marty carried "Old Glory" , yes, he named his kite and she flew perfectly with the wind that we had. He's had her now for three summers and he has enjoyed watching her soar. We sat out by the pool in the late afternoons and just simply done NOTHING ! Those three days seemed to fly quickly but I enjoyed simply being lazy. Sorta felt good! LOL! We enjoyed some good food. If you ever are in St. Augustine, Fl. and have the opportunity, go eat at "Caps on the Water" . We have been several times before and we always enjoy it. The food is good and the atmosphere is wonderful.  We came

{Happy Sunday}

Happy Sunday afternoon to all. I actually started this post yesterday but life happens so at least my pictures were saved. I hope that you all enjoyed a sweet time celebrating the men in your life on this wonderful Father's Day. We have had a lovely day with the kids and grands at my oldest daughter's home.  I spent a day at the beach this past week with these girls. The sound of the ocean and salt air was surely soothing to my soul. One day last week I decided to do a little beach theme for my dining table so then I began to crave the sounds of the ocean.  "Smell the sea and feel the sky, let your soul and spirit fly"...Van Morrison Met up with two friends from grade school and it was nice to see them again. We met under sad circumstances as we were all attending a funeral but it was nice to visit with these ladies.  My yoga class is hosting a "family day" once a week through the summer months so I was thrilled that two of my grands could join me. Sure make

{So Many Praises This Week}

  Good Sunday afternoon everyone. Well, this has been a week but we've so much to give God praise for and I can't let an opportunity to praise Him pass me by and wanted to share with my blogging friends.  Web image I just love that song and have found myself singing it a lot this week.  https://youtu.be/iJCV_2H9xD0 If you have the chance to listen to this beautiful song I promise you that you will be in awe of our Waymaker, Promise Keeper, Light of the darkness God. I get a text from my best friend since 4th grade one night this week sharing this picture. Her husband was walking from his house to their son's house which they live next door only too have a small wooded area between them. It was dark and he had his cell phone for light. He went to take a step and heard the rattling. One more step and he would have stepped on this rattlesnake. Needless to say he was pretty shook up. Can I just say..."Praise the Lord for His hedge of protection". He has not seen a rat

{June Is Underway}

  Aren't those slippers the cutest? They didn't have my size but Oh I adore them! I hope this finds you all well this HOT Sunday afternoon. Oh my! It's so humid. Our family tried to sit outside after our Sunday dinner and watch the little ones play but we finally came back in where the AC was nice and cool. My tribe has left to go home so I am enjoying a nice cold tea drink I whipped up using using some of the juice I saved from a batch of fresh plumbs. I added in some fresh lemon juice along with green tea I brewed and it was delicious.  My FIL has a plum tree that has yielded a bounty this season. The whole family has surely been enjoying those tasty plumbs.  I made a batch of what I call cookie cakes and a batch of sweet glaze using some of the cooked down plumbs.  These grands loved them. I sorta gave them a little taste before lunch.....Oh well, that's what Nana's do right?  These two grands had their dance recital yesterday afternoon and it was so exciting wat
