{Happy Resurrection Day}

I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month.  Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now!  Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said!  I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style.  The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters.  Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo

Wednesday in the Word-Be who you say you are!

  Caught on our trail camera! Do you get bored when driving or riding? First let me say this....I despise to ride. I am worse than any child you will ever see. If it normally takes 3 hours to get to the destination you can take it to the bank that it will take me 4 hours. I think I just have to stop at this store, stop at this rest area and well...you get the picture! I am your worse child... .ARE WE THERE YET?  Coming home from a short hunting trip with my husband I had a 3 hour drive which by the way...took me a little over 4 hours. I had met my husband there so came back alone. MORE STOPS FOR ME! (But I did stop at a Thrift store so time well spent there) Hee-hee!  I also stopped at a little grocery store to pick up a few things that I needed. This little store is my final stop on all my hunting trips as I always can think of something I need at home that I don't have. Please keep in mind I live in the WOODS ...we are not just a mere 5 minutes away from the nearest g

Wednesday In The Word-Thanksgiving is right around the corner!

YIKES! Are you like me this season looking at the calendar and thinking "how did another holiday creep upon me so quickly? Thanksgiving is right around the corner isn't it?    Image credit Thanksgiving is my husband's favorite time of the year. He says and I quote in his words, "No one expects anything from you other than your presence".  I'll let you think about that phrase on your on without my elaboration...... What could be more important than being in the presence of the ones you love the most and hold dearest to your heart? I can't help but think about how our Lord Jesus feels when we wander from His presence. His ultimate desire is to fellowship with us.  As Thanksgiving is drawing near let us all be reminded that truly this day should be one that brings us in remembrance of our many blessings but also a day to remind us that our time on this earth that is spent with those we love is short.  Let's be grateful for t

Sharing a little Rustic Baby Shower

We recently had my niece a baby shower and she wanted a rustic theme. She had picked out a Willow Organic deer pattern and we tried to coordinate the theme so that it would all tie in. Since she makes and designs cakes she decided to decorate her own cake. Here is the pattern that she was going after for her cake.   Image credit Needless to say she matched the Willow Organic pattern perfectly...Don't you think?  Cake by Stephanie   We wanted to keep it simple but cute....Used my Thrift store Carafs for tea and a simple bucket for punch. Everything was centered around the browns, greens, raffia and twine. Some of the mason jars was filled with different kinds of beans and dry corn. Mason jars with stones and candles really added a touch a cuteness as well as simplicity. You just can't beat an old mason jar...no matter the size of it. I had this adorable little yard sale pitcher that worked out great for decoration. Buckets and

WEDNESDAY IN THE WORD-Being Thankful-Rejoicing in the Lord

Since we are in the "Thanksgiving" month I thought I would just simply post one thing today that gives me joy and that I am thankful for. I love thrift store shopping, yard sales and junking as my husband calls it and though I don't go as often as I used too I did recently stop at a good old thrift store on my way to hunt with my husband. Wanted to share my goodies with you today.  I found these three little cuties for under $2. Won't they be really cute with some gold Christmas balls in them?  Oh yeah...I brought these babies home with me for $4.50. Love them!!!!!!!  I spied this and I just had to have it! My husband said, What are you going to do with it? Of course I told him I had a billion ideas, right? $3 brought this home to reside at the Conner's.   I can't hardly pass up a basket! I use them for everything. Especially when they are cute like this and only 50 cents. Yes these small things in life give me joy there is no doubt.
