{Happy Resurrection Day}

I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month.  Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now!  Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said!  I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style.  The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters.  Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo

{Enjoy Life}

"The little things in life bring you the greatest pleasure" . That is my motto and so very true.  We celebrated Valentine's Day with a dinner for two at home.  We had such a simple one-dish meal that was so yummy and a glass of good old southern brewed ice tea. Sounds just sort of plain and simple to most but when you get to spend it with the one that you love the most...well, I will take the simple any day.  Meet Roxie . The newest addition to the family. My daughter Melissa surprised her two girls with sweet Roxy for Valentine's Day.  The girls were so excited and needless to say....Valentine's candy was on the bottom of the list after meeting Rozy.  These two cuties spent Valentine's day at Sea World. They had a WHALE of a time. I got to hear all about it at Sunday dinner. Of course, the oldest of the two loved the hot tub at the hotel about as good as she did the dolphins.  My oldest granddaughter was surprised by h

{Love}

 February 14th is Valentines Day and a day that love and affection is celebrated.   For our family Valentines day is also a day to celebrate this man, my fatherinlove.   His 85th birthday is on Valentines day and we celebrated a little early with a birthday party. He was surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren that celebrated him as he so deserved. He enjoyed every moment of his party and our family is truly blessed to have him. He has been blessed thus far with good health, good mind and works harder than most young men I know. He never complains and never misses anything that he thinks would be fun to do.  We as a family feel so blessed to have Papa Conner. He keeps our bunch straight! I talked my man into a quick selfie...which I can't seem to master selfies but here's to you all having a SWEET Valentines day.  May you each feel the love of Christ...There is NO greater love than the love of Jesus.

{Cookies and Tea Anyone?}

I hope that your week has started off good for you.  It's a little nippy today but as Florida would have it, it is suppose to be in the 80's by Thursday.  http://www.kittyskozykitchen.com/ I wanted to share Kitty's cookies with you today. Only wish we could actually sit down and have one together. Kitty shared these on her blog so be sure to visit.  Kitty's cookies turned out a little more fancier than mine did as she rolled her cookies out and they were a perfect slice. Girls, I was in too big of a hurry to taste one so I did old fashion drop cookies. LOL! I had to improvise a little too. The recipe calls for the zest of an orange but I had tangerines. Worked out perfect and same orange taste.   The recipe also called for dried cranberries but I just so had a pack of the Craisins dried cranberries infused with cherry juice as I eat them for a snack sometimes. Not only did the batter look pretty but oh that zest smelled so good.
