{Happy Resurrection Day}

I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month.  Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now!  Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said!  I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style.  The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters.  Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo

{The Famous Five and the Birthday Girl}

Hello dear blogging friends,  I want to start my day off with wishing my baby daughter, Marti Leigh, a very happy birthday. Can't believe my baby is 32 years old. Her daddy is sure getting old! LOL!  The most wonderful thing about daughters being your little girls is they grow up to be your best friend. God has surely blessed me.  The birthday girl along with her sisters and spouses went out together for a birthday outing and Marty and I had all six of the grands. What a fun day. Swimming, fishing, eating lots of pizza and oh yes....chocolate chip cookies. Crafts, pear picking, and watching a little Hallmark finished our day out. We had a good day and so did my girls on the birthday outing.  And when you have all 6 ranging from 14 years old to 3 months old you must wear lots of lipstick. That way you can leave your MARK on thier cute little faces.... Whether they like it or not. Hee-hee.  Now onto the Famous Five . Be sure to post your answers .

{Sunflowers and Lemons}

I love sunflowers how about you? I found these adorable sunflower plates and matching bowls a while back and knew immediately that after my beach tablescape came down that Sunflowers would go up.  Bowls are perfect size for salads and soups...and Ice cream too...(hee-hee)  I adore Sunflowers and decided to do a tablescape to transition a bit towards Fall with sunflowers and lemons. I LOVE ALL THINGS LEMON !  You just can't go wrong with a mason jar now can you?  I've been itching to add some red to a tablescape and since I LOVE ME SOME RED I went and grabbed my lovely napkins my friend Vicky made and gifted to me last Christmas.  After adding the red flatware it all began coming together.  Goblets and lace adds a sweet touch to me. Candles can make plain old DIRT look good to me so next came a few of my vintage dishes and red candles. Loving my sunflowers, lemons and OH YES, a touch of red.  Have I to

{Who says that you can't have a beach in your back yard?}

Aren't they beautiful? The heat is killing them so I have to keep them watered daily but oh they have been so pretty this summer. I will miss those cuties!  I bought this little pool for my 2 year old grandgirl to play in when at Nana's and needless to say I decided to use it for Nana! I had some time recently to chill out and relax and I thought, "If I can't make a trip to the beach then I will bring the beach to me". I grabbed my lawn chair, the beast as my man calls it. LOVE that chair too. My girls bought that for me a couple of years ago for Mother's Day and I have used it well. I grabbed my beach towel, suntan and sunscreen lotion, bottled water, Bible, and set my phone to play the sounds of the ocean and there I sat...for two hours. Soaking up some Vitamin D and God's Word . AND yes I splashed some of that pool water on me occasionally when I got hot. YEP...you make do sometimes with what you have to do with right?  I even treat

{Beach Tablescape, Family Fun, and Yard Sale Goodies}

I am still in a "Beach" frame of mind. Before we went on our annual Family Beach Vacation I decided to do a little beach tablescape.  I am so enjoying having that cute chair that holds that little drawer in a corner in my kitchen. Being able to change the decor around some has been fun.  It is hard to read the scripture here but it's Psalm 139:9-10 .  The beautiful picture is one that my youngest daughter took while traveling once. I found the table runner at a yard sale for 50 cents and had it stashed away so grabbed it and that determined my color scheme. Cute little salt and pepper shakers winded up being perfect.  I grabbed my bag of sea shells to use as well. I have several sets of dishes that go well with a Beach theme tablescape but decided my cute little fish dishes would be the ones I used. I even have the child's plates that match these. I actually lucked up one year at the end of summer and found these cuties at W
