Lack of knowledge will get us into trouble every time! I've always heard the saying "What you don't know can't hurt you". Well may I tell you that "What you don't know CAN KILL YOU! Satan came for one reason and one reason only... To steel, kill and destroy! Of course my first thoughts reflected on my caring for my husband, my children and etc. I was pretty sure I was being a blessing so couldn't really see where any changes needed to be made........(so that is what I told myself anyway) However, the challenge was based on Genesis 12:2 where God told Abraham “I will bless you ....and you will be a blessing . The Lord is described as many things such as; Strong Tower, Fortress, Shepherd, Shield, Light, Deliverer and the list could go on and on. But He is also our Rock and our Strength . Sometimes just the weariness of life in general can overwhelm us at times can't it? I don't know about you but there are times when I feel like every ounce of strength I've got is zapped from me and my life can resemble a cooked noodle instead of a Rock ! How about you? The truth is that we all face times that we feel we have no strength to carry us through the trail, tribulation or just the course of life that seems to our present path.  There are days when we feel guilty for silently complaining when we look around and see all the hurt that others are feeling. We think, "I am shamed to even ask for prayer because my current needs and situation is so light compared to others. On some days we think " DOES anyone else even CARE ? Not at her circumstance , not at what she did , not how unfair life is, or at who made you do it. She has to just look at herself in all her glory and imperfection .   Have you ever admired a woman who has been through changes in her life? Or have you made up your mind that she is just messed up. Before you make this mistake, take a closer look. A woman who has endured the most unusual life is someone of wisdom , someone who has been chosen by God to go through things that have made her stronger. Think of all the great women in the Bible: Mary Magdalene , Ruth and Naomi , the woman with the issue of blood, and Esther , to name a few....

Have you ever had someone ask you "How do you know that Jesus can save you?". Years ago at a revival I was one of the many people that was willing to council with those making spiritual decisions. I will never forget a young woman that winded up in my group that asked me that question. At this point of my life I was growing and maturing in the Lord but scared spitless (is that even a word) that someone would ask me something theological and so over my head that I could not answer. However, with my ignorance and all that went with that when the call for spiritual councilors came I was signing up...that was something I could do... TALK! Of course we met before hand to go over the scriptures that we should use and dotted our I's and crossed our T's. I was ready! Can you be a Christian and not go to church? Why sure you can....the gospel is clear... "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16 NKJV Let's narrow this down a tad though...Do you remember the story of the thief on the cross that was next to Jesus? He never had the opportunity to go to church yet Jesus promised him that he would be in paradise with him. (Luke 23:39-43) According to the Word of God this man trusted & believed Jesus. So in a sense it is true that you don't have to go to church to be a Christian. BUT ....As soon as we start saying what we have to do and what we don't have to do in order to be saved we are in danger of getting the Gospel totally confused.... and as soon as we start coming up with excuses as to why we do not need to go to church if we are a Christian has caused many a Christian to go astray . At the age of... Well, let's say middle age .... I find that for a lot of us we feel as though we have lived our lives backwards! When we are young we tend to hurry through life...We make decisions that will shape the rest of our life. Some are good and some are bad. But we can and are wise to learn from those who have gained insight from life's experiences. No Better Teacher than Experience! I read a piece once about someone that decided to do a sociological study of 50 people over the age of 90. WOW! Not a whole lot of people live to be 90 now. The question was asked: If you could live your life over again, what would you do differently? Three general responses came.... 1: I would reflect more 2: I would risk more 3: I would do more things that would live on after I am dead!
