{Let June Begin}

  It's Sunday afternoon and my tribe has left after a wonderful and breezy afternoon. The youngest two grands made friends with a baby bird today and was so sad when they had to let it go.  We attended a dance recital for these two littles. They both done so good. It was so bright outside and we were all squinting in pictures. The girls had a fan club for sure. Marty and I are blessed that our family always supports one another. Just BLESSED y'all. Just blessed! Marty enjoys coffee cakes and breads with his morning coffee on his way to work so I baked a yummy cranberry & orange coffee cake with drizzled icing. It smelled amazing baking. I think I might have a slice in the morning. LOL! The month of May was National Physical Fitness & Sports month so we ladies finished up strong. We added extra workouts to our yoga classes in different areas and well, let me just say, "I found a few muscles that I didn't know I had". LOL! My focus board for June is so fitti

Wednesday In The Word-Look to HIM

Though I have shared with you all about my devotional book called "Jesus Calling" by Sarah Young before I just had to share today's devotional. God has truly used this little book to give me just what I need. I pray it speaks to your heart today. Stay calmly conscious of Me today no matter what. Remember that I go before you as well as with you into the day. NOTHING takes Me by surprise. I will NOT allow your circumstances to overwhelm you, SO LONG AS YOU LOOK TO ME. I will help you cope with whatever the moment presents. Collaborating with Me brings blessings that far outweigh all your troubles. Awareness of My presence contains Joy that can endure all eventualties. The part of this devotional that jumped off of the page at me was SO LONG AS YOU LOOK TO ME! When our eyes are not on Jesus we are lost! We are lost in thoughts, actions, and words. For me personally, I tend to let the "little" things in life take on a big meaning and I become overwhelmed. Wednesday in the Word-Pity Party

 Image Credit Do you ever just get to thinking about certain things in your life that has happened and the next thing you know you are sitting there having yourself a grand ole’ Pity Party ? WOO IS ME type of attitude?  I found myself recently in that state of mind and I was having such a GOOD PARTY that I was fixing to even invite others to join me!!!!  My pity party was geared towards things that had stemmed from the past as I was growing up and had turned into an “attitude” of mean and ugly thoughts (just being honest) a bad attitude to say the least and a whole list of “WHAT IF’S”.    I had gotten out of bed that morning with my heart heavy for so many prayer needs of friends, family and a few that had been mere acquaintances. My prayers were going up hard and heavy all through my putting on my makeup, fixing my hair, doing last minute needed things before heading out for my day. All the way to my destination I prayed and talked with God about the prayer nee

PLEASEITUS: Do we EVER have this disease! Well, maybe I should say I have struggled in the past with this disease more than I care to talk about and find myself still struggling at times. It is an infection in which battles between the heart and the mind and when untreated for long periods of time affects one IN EVERY ASPECT OF THE THEIR VERY BEING. Image Credit If not treated correctly it will be a like a Thief and Steal your Joy, your Health, your Thought life and even God-given plans that He has for your life. If not careful PLEASEITUS will LIMIT us from what God actually WANTS from us in our lives.   Image credit May I be honest? I truly feel that God wants me to address this subject as so many women, friends and family that I love and care about struggle in this area so much. As much as I strive to be alert to this disease called PLEASEITUS I do have a tendency to become caught up in it and if not for my husband with his gentle and sweet reminders (I see

Wednesday in the Word-God has a sense of humor!

You ever had one of those mornings that it seems from the time you get out of the bed that "STUFF" just starts happening? Like irritating, crazy, little mundane things that cause you to STOP and take a deep breath and say, OKAY LORD , what's UP ? My morning started out like that! Let me paint the scene for you....  Image credit After drinking 1/2 cup of coffee I suddenly drop the cup spilling coffee onto my kitchen floor. I cleaned it up. I fix another cup of coffee took one sip and suddenly dropped it on my kitchen counter spilling it on the counter, the floor and wetting one piece of mail I intended on mailing out.  Image credit I then just casually notice that the wall phone (yes I still have a wall phone as well as cordless phones) has splattered coffee on it so I go to wipe it off and apparently I picked up at the same time someone was calling in. So, I hear a voice at the other end say, "Is this the high school? (people are always ge
