{Happy Resurrection Day}

I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month.  Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now!  Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said!  I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style.  The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters.  Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo

WEDNESDAY IN THE WORD

 I am what they call a "Stat" person. I enjoy reading and even at times researching stats on particular subjects. For example: Statistics show that  first marriages end up in divorces in an average duration of just less than 8 years.   Studies show the most common time for a heart attack to occur is Monday morning. Saturday morning ranks second. Another common time is during the early morning hours, when blood platelets are stickier. In 2008 it was listed under  Statistics for the Changing Church that Christians spend seven times as much time on entertainment as they do on spiritual activities."  On August 1, 2011 Health Fitness News stated that 12 states had obesity rates above 30% (4 years prior there was only one)   As much as I enjoy "Stats" you would think I am the MATH queen. Truth is I hate math to be honest. But do you know what else I don't like about numbers?  Is how we as Christians tend to gauge the success of our C

TUESDAY TOOTS

I get to toot today! YEAH! Well I have had a couple of friends asking me about my chandi I bought at a yard sale for $3 and where I decided to put it.  Of course the Lovely Grace from Growing Old with Grace gave me the idea and I feel in love with it.  Here is where I put my chandi. I love it there. And you talk about really being pretty...I put some candles in it one afternoon and just as it was getting dark I lit them and my husband and I enjoyed watching the glow.  (His first thought with the whole idea was, this is silly) that is until we got it in the tree and then he said, "well now ain't that about cute". (LOL)  Here is where I originally got the idea from: www.growoldwithgrace.com   Here is her chandi...   I got my own piece of heaven going on by the pond. Don't you just love my red bird feeder on the red pole? Took a piece of PVC pipe, spray painted it red and used some nail glue to get the little red bird house to stay on t

Monday Musings

 I normally don't blog on Mondays but I came across this article recently while reading some different pieces from the Generous Wife. This one REALLY caught my eye and I decided to share this with you this week. It is well worth the read. Well worth printing it out to read it again and again....... http://www.the-generous-wife.com/2012/07/25/how-in-the-world-do-you-make-margin/ How in the World Do You Make Margin?   ... I am another tired woman, and I suspect so many others are as well, because we are the ones whom our families rely upon to keep everything together and running. We are the ones who get things done. I’m not busy because of selfish pursuits. I’m busy because I have a family to care for and I need HELP doing so, more help than I’m getting. I have been here. Partly because of things that I expected of myself, partly because of what others expected of me, some because I had created a lifestyle that demanded a huge amount of work (more than I cou

WEDNESDAY IN THE WORD

Satan's lies and God's Truth:  Image Credit We know that Jesus came to give us life and to give it to us abundantly but so many women are living a life of defeat. Whether it be stressed out, lonely, fearful or just plain unloved! I think a lot of times the root of our problem is believing the lies of Satan.  Satan says: You need to fill your calendar and your every waking moment with stuff.....and he will go as far as to help you fill it even with good stuff. So much so that you become stressed to the hilt and can't function! Or you feel that your role as a wife, mom, friend, employee or etc. has just about got the best of you (Stress) Satan says:   Everyone is too busy for you. Your husband works every extra hour he can get just to make ends meet. Your children are so busy with their friends that you are no longer important and your so called church friends really don't want you in their click. (Lonely) Satan says: You are not good enough. You ar
