I sure hope that your May has kicked off to a good start. The heat is settling in quick around our parts.
We've kicked off May with watching our softball girls win the District. Next week we start another round of ball. It's so much fun to watch these girls and especially our girl, Mallory. She plays centerfield.
We were so proud of both teams that played against each other. They all, hand in hand gathered together as one of our girls prayed for the game and also for one of our young men that was in a horrific car accident and fighting. His name is Kaden if you can think to lift him up to our Lord.
I had the opportunity recently to speak to a group of women at a ladies luncheon event at a local church. Oh we had so much fun. I wished I had gotten pictures of the beautiful decorations. We had a TEA PARTY and we each kept the cup that we drank out of it.
Isn't she just lovely?
Easter has come and gone but we sure have a great time with family. We gather each year with the Conner side and there is a PILE of us but the little ones love having all the cousins there. One of our granddaughters found the prize egg this year. $64.oo!!! I think I will see if the adults can egg hunt next year!
We were belated at celebrating our friend Renee's birthday but we did. We had a lovely lunch that ended with lemon cake and lemon buttercream icing. So nice to be with long time, life long friends. So much laughter is shared.
Marty and I slipped off for a day date and enjoyed some seafood tacos. I love those DAY DATES! Tomorrow is our eldest daughter's birthday. We will celebrate her Sunday but she is like her mama and celebrates her whole BIRTHDAY MONTH!
My May focus in right on target. I pray daily for wisdom but oh do we ever need wisdom this day and time in this thing we call life here on earth.
I recently went to the dermatologist for a checkup and needless to say after a 3 1/2 hour procedure, 47 injections and 22 stitches I came home. I am happy to say my incision is healing nicely. Skin cancer is no joke my friends and yet something that so many take lightly.
AND if that wasn't enough the very next week I got my feet all tangled up in a blanket and here I went up against the wall. Praise the Lord that I was able to catch the end of the couch and broke my fall but I am afraid two ribs suffered with hairline fractures. I guess Yoga has paid off. LOL! But, I am much better. When it rains it pours but I choose to still dance in the rain and give God praise.
I will close today with one of my favorite scriptures that I have clung too for a year now.
Remember to continue to dance in the rain and give HIM praise in the storms of life. He does have the victory.
Happy May friends.
Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Cindy, I will keep Kaden in my prayers 🙏 ❤️ I love the teacup and saucer. The Isaiah verse with the lion image brings tears 😢 to my eyes, in a good way. Your photos are gorgeous. You have a lovely and heartwarming blog. God bless you.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda.
DeleteWell, aside from the bodily injuries incurred, this was a lovely post, which is all I ever expect from you, precious Cindy! And your daughters! You and the girls sure put a pleasant expression on your husband's face!! (smile)
ReplyDeleteThanks Barbara.
DeleteI wish I could've been at your luncheon and heard you speak! I can well imagine it was wonderful! And I love the idea of the tea party and especially getting to keep the tea cup and saucer! Now THAT's special! Goodness! That trip to the dermatologist sounds like it was a bit painful! I keep saying I need to go to one, but now I'm not so sure! LOL. And I'm sure thankful you didn't hurt yourself any worse when you fell. Cracked ribs are bad enough! Oh my! Happy Birthday to your sweet daughter, and so lovely to see all you girls together. Also, congratulations to Mallory and her team for winning the championship! I enjoyed your post so much, and yes, Wisdom is my one word for 2025, so that verse is one that I refer to often. Take care my friend. You are a blessing to all of us.
ReplyDeleteThank you friend.
DeleteWhat a wonderful time it must have been at the ladies conference, and how I would've loved to hear you speak! I know you were such a blessing to the ladies, and I love the teacup you got to bring home with you! Always love the pictures of your beautiful family! Special day outings with our husbands are truly the best! I'm sorry you've had so many challenges with your health and continue in prayer for the Lord's help for you through it all! Love the verses you shared. What would we do without the Lord!
ReplyDeleteThank you sweet Marilyn.
DeleteMy goodness Cindy!!! When it rains, it pours, doesn't it?---keeping Kaden in prayer. Happy birthday to your daughter. Thank you for the many smiles.

DeleteOh My. You've had some interesting troubles. Seriously, I'm sorry you had to have those unpleasant hours at the dermatologist and then to go and fall, injuring your poor ribs. May just HAS to be an easier month for you :)

Thank you GM. I am surely trying to dance in the rain....well, if we would get some rain that is! LOL!

ReplyDeleteSo glad that you're doing much better after your fall and dermatologist appointment.
Thanks Margie.
DeleteI always like catching up with you. Easter looked so nice and your girls are always so gorgeous like their mama! Softball games sound fun this time of year. Praying for dear Kayden. I'm sorry about your fall and glad you caught yourself. Those ribs can be painful! Also glad you are healing from the dermatologist procedure. Day dates are the best and so are fish tacos. Yum! Love that pretty tea cup. I bet you did great speaking at the women's group!

Hope your Mother's Day was wonderful.
DeleteHey, friend....make sure you keep your armor on! I don't want to read any more of your episodes, okay? These pics are so springy and colorful. As always, you could pass for a sister, not a mom to three lovelies. Man, those tacos look yummy and I wish I could have been at the women's tea. I bet your message was inspirational. Loving hugs, Cindy!
