{May Has Arrived}

  I sure hope that your May has kicked off to a good start. The heat is settling in quick around our parts.  We've kicked off May with watching our softball girls win the District. Next week we start another round of ball. It's so much fun to watch these girls and especially our girl, Mallory. She plays centerfield.  We were so proud of both teams that played against each other. They all, hand in hand gathered together as one of our girls prayed for the game and also for one of our young men that was in a horrific car accident and fighting. His name is Kaden if you can think to lift him up to our Lord.  I had the opportunity recently to speak to a group of women at a ladies luncheon event at a local church. Oh we had so much fun. I wished I had gotten pictures of the beautiful decorations. We had a TEA PARTY and we each kept the cup that we drank out of it.  Isn't she just lovely? Easter has come and gone but we sure have a great time with family. We gather each...

{Welcome To April}

  It's a brand new month already in the new year and it seems that January through March has just flown by. We kicked off the new month with a Conner reunion today and I must say that the weather was absolutely beautiful for a big gathering. My FIL has only two siblings left so he was happy to have them both with him today. He's 88. He has one older sister and one younger sister left in his family. He truly felt blessed today.  The three youngest grands came to spend the day with me on on Friday. I kept them busy as we attempted to TRY and organize my She-Shed. Well, not much organizing but they had fun playing. Let's just say that not much organizing was done but at least I can walk in there now! LOL!  Organizing will have to wait but what fun the little's did have in Nana's She-Shed. Memories are much better than perfection to me.  My granddaughter Kyleigh was going to a Play that night with family friends so she asked me if I would put just a tad of makeup ...

{Entertainment In The Country}

  Well, I hope you all are doing well on this hot Sunday afternoon. I keep thinking a cool breeze will drift by but so far that hasn't happen. But, a little heat doesn't stop us around Conner's Pond from having some fun in the country with some of the grands.  In the country you make all kinds of entertainment happen. From coloring, painting, dancing and just being cute! Putting on makeup is always a hit with our littles.  Sleeping in Nana's lap and then a pan cake and sausage breakfast with SPRINKLES is always good.  Swinging with popsicles, 4-wheeler riding with papa and fishing is a MUST around Conner's Pond. But...finding a leaf bigger than your face is the most fun! Working in the garden planting sunflower seeds was the cutest thing to watch those girls do. Not sure which one was most fun for them. Poking holes in the dirt or trying real hard not to eat the sunflower seeds! LOL! Pear picking and catching minnows was on their list of fun things to do. Of cour...

{Giving God The Praise For His Many Blessings}

  HELLO My Sweet Friends! I have surely missed blogging with you all and have tried to do a little snooping around from time to time as I have allowed my eyes some healing time. Wanted to give you all a quick update.  2nd surgery was successful. There seemed to be a few hiccups in the process but all was well with my soul. My eyes began to immediately communicate together.  I cannot tell you all how thrilled I was. Nothing any worse than having one eye that I could see out of but yet I could not see out of the other eye. Very frustrating to say the least.  I've had a follow up and there is some significant swelling but normal as surgery had only taken place a week at the time of followup. I am experiencing dry eyes but it's my understanding that it may be due to implants, allergies or both. Though I do suffer with allergies I have never had dry eyes so I am thinking this might be an ongoing thing with the implants. However, I am using natural preservative eye drops f...

(Time For A Little Girl Talk}

I hope that you all are doing well and staying healthy and that our week will be great for us all. I thought today that maybe I would share a few products with you all that I love. It's always good to see what products that other's have found to be tried and true for them.  First, let me say that I have dry and sensitive skin so I have to be careful about face products for sure. But I have found these to work just fine for me with my skin and my "Pocketbook" as my granny would have said.  My poor tubes are worn out as you can see from the picture. A friend told me about Essence Mascara's when I asked her what she used as her lashes always look so beautiful. I use both of these products. I use the Sculpted Volume first and then the False Lash Effect last. I have liked the results and the price is awesome. I bought mine from Ultra but you can buy these products from Amazon. They are around $5 each.  This is not a very clear picture but I really like the Revlon Colo...

{Tried and True and Tibits}

I haven't shared a "tried and true" lately so decided it was time. I enjoy hearing from others about different things they have tried and really like or loved. Of course I am one of those people that REVIEW everything...maybe a little too much, so it's great to see what others have tried and it has proven to be true.  I love a lot of the e.l.f. products and I really like the HD Powder in translucent. I ordered my last one from Amazon as I was ordering several things but you can get e.l.f. products at Walmart. Target usually has a better selection. Depends on where you buy it to the cost but I don't think I have ever paid more than $6 for the powder. I love the light feel of it. It doesn't come with a puff to apply but that doesn't matter to me because I use a brush to apply anyway. It does not make your face shine and the coverage is good enough for me.  It comes in several shades but I use the translucent. I really like the e.l.f. face ...
