{May Has Arrived}

  I sure hope that your May has kicked off to a good start. The heat is settling in quick around our parts.  We've kicked off May with watching our softball girls win the District. Next week we start another round of ball. It's so much fun to watch these girls and especially our girl, Mallory. She plays centerfield.  We were so proud of both teams that played against each other. They all, hand in hand gathered together as one of our girls prayed for the game and also for one of our young men that was in a horrific car accident and fighting. His name is Kaden if you can think to lift him up to our Lord.  I had the opportunity recently to speak to a group of women at a ladies luncheon event at a local church. Oh we had so much fun. I wished I had gotten pictures of the beautiful decorations. We had a TEA PARTY and we each kept the cup that we drank out of it.  Isn't she just lovely? Easter has come and gone but we sure have a great time with family. We gather each...

{Cookies and Tea Anyone?}

I hope that your week has started off good for you.  It's a little nippy today but as Florida would have it, it is suppose to be in the 80's by Thursday.  http://www.kittyskozykitchen.com/ I wanted to share Kitty's cookies with you today. Only wish we could actually sit down and have one together. Kitty shared these on her blog so be sure to visit.  Kitty's cookies turned out a little more fancier than mine did as she rolled her cookies out and they were a perfect slice. Girls, I was in too big of a hurry to taste one so I did old fashion drop cookies. LOL! I had to improvise a little too. The recipe calls for the zest of an orange but I had tangerines. Worked out perfect and same orange taste.   The recipe also called for dried cranberries but I just so had a pack of the Craisins dried cranberries infused with cherry juice as I eat them for a snack sometimes. Not only did the batter look pretty but oh that zest smelled so good. ...

{Tuesday Toot}

Since the weather is warm it seems that yard sales are popping up weekly in my neck of the woods. I decided this past weekend to hit up a few yard sales and I came home tooting about my loot! You just gotta love a good yard sale! Found this cutie in mint condition! LOVE IT!   This cute little tote sure open ed the door for a little church service on Saturday.  Love how the Lord uses the most simple things in life to talk about HIM and give Him praise. Isn't this cute for $1 and just in time for 4th of Ju ly! If you know anything about Wilton baking products then you know the brand is good. I knew as soon as I saw this set of four tasty-fill mini cake pans I needed wanted it . I see some cute individual desserts happening soon. It had never been used and I got it for $2. They are $12.99 brand new at Joann's. Ooh...don't ya just love these pretty pillows? They may be for a giveaway soon....Or I might keep them. (LOL) I need another snack pl...

{Yard Sale} was calling my name!!!

Okay, I must admit...I had no intentions on going to another yard sale over the weekend but I tell you the truth when I say that I think I heard the sound of something beckoning me.. .COME....COME....COME !  Okay, now I am scaring myself! Truth is I just wanted to go to another yard sale (ha!) So, me and two of the grandgirls went a hunting for something good.  And this was the first beauty I came across! A little cleaning and a fresh coat of paint and I think I might just have me a gem! I NEVER turn down goblets like these. I love them and they are my favorite to use. I just added 3 more to my collection..... And you all know I love me a cute basket! Isn't this cute? I actually think I am going to use this as a planter...or maybe in the guest bathroom to hold shampoos, soaps and etc. (Or maybe my flavored teas) LOVED this little bucket! Think I will re-pot some herbs in it! And  wouldn't you just know that I would spot a set of dishes! In ca...
