{Beaching with the Girls}

Good Sunday afternoon everyone. I hope that you all are having a wonderful Sunday and that tomorrow, July 4th, that you enjoy your red, white and blues. I just returned from from a short getaway to Fernandina Beach with my three daughters and we had such a wonderful time. We had one shower of rain but needless to say, I was a drowned rat! But oh did it ever feel so good and I simply just give praise for the much needed rain and time away with the girls. I for sure got the biggest soaking but then I can't move as fast as my girls! LOL!  Web image We had a lovely meal at the Boathouse one evening. We had about an hour wait so we walked around the historic district for a bit and oh my! I found the cutest little Christmas ornament shop. I can't believe I did not take any pictures. Especially when I LOVE ALL THINGS CHRISTMAS.  There is nothing like the sound of the ocean and the clean salt air to me.  We had brunch one morning at Sliders and one can never go wrong with Grits and Shr

It is time to share some of my favorite photos with you. Some are family, friends, events and just stuff! Hope you will enjoy!

It's Nifty Thrifty Tuesday!!!

Oh I love me a deal....and Linda at Coastal Charm  always gets a deal! Go check her out and the other lovely ladies that post about their nifty thrifty deals! I will begin by sharing my cute little garden clock.....the cutest for $1.  Oh my friend Sharyl over at is going to want my clock! She loves her some clocks! Matter of fact it is her fault I can't even walk into a Thrift store without looking  at the clocks!  Then I found this cute little bowl for 99 cents. Now, I realize it doesn't look much but you just wait till I slap a glass candle stick underneath it with my liquid nail!  I really love this wire basket. It was $1.99 and I almost did not buy it. But I loved the detail on it and my first thought was this would be such a cute gift with all sorts of goodies inside! I thought this little vase was just a cutie for 50 cents.  Found this silver 3-plate snacky thing and knew I had to have it for $

My youngest granddaugher, 2 1/2 got to go to Disney On Ice. Needless to say her mom (my daughter) dressed her as Belle. And oh was she a lovely Belle.    She wanted to show me her braclet! Of course everything she had on came from the Disney Store. She decided that she was through with the pictures! Inside we went so she could draw on her princess chalkboard. Isn't she just a lovely Belle? And, she enjoyed every minute of the show!  Thanks for sharing my youngest granddaughter with me today.

Beautiful Tablescape

I am so glad to be able to join Susan again at Between Naps On The Porch @ Be sure to check my friend out and all the other lovely tablescapes. I did not do a tablescape this week due to my agenda being in "overflow".....but I did want to share my sisterinlove's beautiful table scape with you along with a mantle tablescape and a tea cart tablescape. Here is Shirley and her hubby Bobby Ray....doesn't she favor Beth Moore? A well known Bible study teacher????  She has some beautiful stuff as you will see. As you can see in this picture a butter knife is laying on this thingy! I have no clue what that is officially called but if any of you do please tell me so I will know! I just think it is the neatest thing since slice bread! + Next is this mantle piece she has on the wall by her dining table.  And then the tea cart. Thanks for sharing my sisterinlove's tablescape with me! Be Blessed. Cindy
