{Happy Resurrection Day}

I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month.  Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now!  Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said!  I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style.  The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters.  Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo

{Goodbye February! You've Been Good To Me}

I just love the many different wax melt cubes you can find these days for your electric wax melt warmer. My Sister gifted me with this cute thing with so many different flavors of wax melt for my birthday. I love the smells but oh do I ENJOY the little things of life. Some friends and I had a birthday outing for me with shopping, lunch and a stop by a new cute bakery that just opened up a few weeks ago. My mercy everything looked so good. These two ladies and I have been friends since elementary school. We try to get together once a month but since it was birthday month I got to pick where we went for the day.  I brought home one of their cookie bars and had it the next day with coffee. So good.  Of course we spotted a Thrift store along the birthday journey and I had to have some fun. I thought these boots would have been perfect for me. WELL...I couldn't figure out how to put a 5 foot woman into a pair of boots that must have been made for one tall gal! LOL! The fun us older wome

{Happy Birthday To Me}

I hope that you all are enjoying this nice Sunday afternoon. I just finished prepping for tomorrows evening meal and prepping for a lunch for a friend so decided to give myself a break and show you some fun pictures from my birthday. YEP, praise the Lord I celebrated another birthday yesterday. Just seems like I celebrated one not too long ago!  Marty asked me what would I like to do for my special day and since my three daughters carried me to a movie and out to eat last weekend I decided to let's do a day trip to Fernandina Beach, Florida. We ate at this great place overlooking the harbor and we got there just before it became crowded. The temps was rather cool for us Floridians and there was some wind but we sat in the enclosed patio and it was so nice. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. It's hard to find good food and good service these days but we sure did find it there.  We walked around downtown and the pirates sang happy birthday to me! We done a lit

{Thrifty Finds and some Sweet Stuff}

I want to share a few Thrifty finds and a little sweet stuff going on in my life but first, had to share this wonderful new tea with you. A sweet blogging friend sent this to me and I love it! I've had it as a hot tea with honey, cold tea with a hint of lemon, a tea latte and I have brewed up some great healthy teas with it using different vitamins. Thank you Margie from  www.teainthevalley I finally got around to cleaning out a spare closet in the grands play room that I used to store seasonal clothing. Needless to say I had a HUGE garbage bag to donate to our local thrift store called Rack Up. OF COURSE I just couldn't drop off a bag full of clothing without browsing around to see what treasures might catch my eye. That would have been so RUDE!!! LOL!  This adorable tobacco basket caught my eye and yes mam you can believe for $3 it was coming home with me! I love the basket as it can be changed with decor.  Then I spotted this small insulated bag for $2. I needed something sm

{The Love Month}

February has kicked off for sure and it seems we've all hit the ground running. OR...maybe I have as I had the three youngest grands for two days and a night. BOY...I was about RAN out! We had so much fun though but mercy I sure am not young as I used to be. LOL! We done everything from baking, crafting, makeup, doll clothes and well....never a dull moment at Nana's house. We sure are making lots of memories though and that's the sweetest gift I could give. I found a recipe that I wanted to try using Turmeric and Ginger and made myself a cup of hot drink. There are so many health benefits using Turmeric. Actually we have so many spices in our kitchen cabinet that can surely be used for more than cooking or baking.  Here's the recipe if anyone interested. I did add a tad of apple juice to give it a little sweeter taste. This makes quite a bit but you can put it in the refrigerator and use it tomorrow.  Today, I decided on a cold drink. You can always add orange juice, ap
