{Happy Resurrection Day}

I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month.  Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now!  Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said!  I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style.  The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters.  Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo

{A Celebration of Forty Years of Marriage}

Marty and I just celebrated our 40th Wedding Anniversary on September 23rd. On one hand, it seems like it was FOREVER ago that we said "I do" and on the other hand, it really doesn't seem that long ago.   We began dating at the age of 16, married at age 18 and began our family at age 20. WOW! Babies, right? I always said that we grew up with our children.  My friend Janice told me that most people can't commit 40 days much less 40 years and that is so very true. God has been so merciful to us over the years and the grace that He has poured out on us is about more than my little brain can comprehend. We have been truly blessed and we have not deserved one ounce of His blessings!  We have had hard times, bad times, grief, and to be totally honest, there were times we both wondered if we would make it! God has shown us Grace and Mercy over and over again. He sure loves us so much.  The question was asked to me, "What has been yours a

{Anyone need a Homemade Porta-Potty?}

Picture a friend sent to me. A friend of mine sent this picture to me after we regained power from "Irma" . One has to laugh even in the midst of a storm, right?   We are truly praising the Lord for His hedge of protection over our family and friends in my county and neighboring areas. So many are still without power. My oldest daughter's home had two trees fall on the roof of her home and one tree fell on their shed. No one was hurt thankfully. 97% of our county was without power. We do not realize what we have until we no longer have it do we? After the storm was over and power finally regained, I sat there thinking of how very spoiled I am. My heart hurts for those that have lost their homes in this storm. Many are still without power. The hit that our county took from Irma does not even begin to compare to the hit that Miami took. Our prayers are with so many. We all need a little humor and these two girls brought it with this cute picture

{Whoopie, Whoopie, Whoopie}

I found a whoopie pie pan at AC Moore and since I had a coupon for 55% off one regular item I decided to buy it.  Now I didn't exactly make mine like the like the ones shown...I did doll them up a bit.  I made too much butter cream icing so hey, why not use it, right?  How about a little salted caramel?  Chocolate chips always makes a good topping don't ya think? Found me two cute fish plates. I just had to have them for 50 cents each. Perfect for two!    Who needs a meal after this appetizer?   I drug out my trusty electric roaster and roasted and a couple of chickens. It's great for cooking in large quanities. I guess the last time I used it was in the summer while at the beach. I made a pulled pork in it.  I made a baked chicken fettuccine casserole with my roasted chicken and it was sooooo good! I also made a dear friend a pan for her birthday. Just can't go wrong with chicken! Despite the heat I still have beautif
