{Happy Resurrection Day}

I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month.  Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now!  Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said!  I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style.  The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters.  Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo

{If You're Happy And You Know It Clap Your Hands}

Do you remember singing that song as a child or singing it to your children and maybe now even your grandchildren? Have you ever woke up singing? I know that sounds crazy but I woke up this morning with that cute little song on my lips. AND all I can say about that is that it must have been from GOD HIMSELF because I was late getting to bed and it was raining when I awoke this morning and I wasn't thinking HAPPY ! LOL! Remember the chair makeover I shared by simply giving it a fresh coat of paint? I loved how the blue just popped and grandgirl looks adorable sitting in the cute blue chair. Her birthday is in two weeks but we snapped a few pictures of her prior to her birthday and we celebrated with a family party yesterday afternoon. We have lots of birthdays going on right now. She already has a little farmer tan going on. This child starts turning brown as soon as she gets a little sun. She looked like the Coppertone baby last summer. I managed to

{The Days of Our Lives}

Remember the soap opera as my granny would call it.... "The days of our lives" ? It may still come on. I have no clue. I never got into all the soaps. I often have said that my family could have our own TV show. Especially a reality show!  Well, my bunch might be too real! LOL. But, we do have our own..."days of our lives". Every day is new adventure.   Remember this cutie I found a few weeks ago at a Thrift store for $3.99? All this little gal needed was a good coat of spray paint and a home. I named her Sweet Girl . She now sits in my little home office and keeps me company when I am piddling around in there. I think I'll change her little hats out often so she can match me! Some days I feel like I wear many different hats.  How about you?   Enjoyed a day out with my daughters. Grandbaby #6 is due end of May so we decided before the pregnant woman doesn't feel like having a day out that we would all get pedi's, out to eat and do

{Kitchen Makeover Is Moving Along}

Before we go to the kitchen I wanted to show you my newest addition to my laundry room.  We have a cute place in our town called "Deerly Blessed" and I just love to browse in there. I spotted this cute washboard and knew it would be perfect for my laundry room.  Okay, so I told you last week that I had made a little mistake on my cabinets that caused me to LIKE them right? As I shared, our cabinets are 25 years old and we had the cabinets custom built, solid oak. I thought about re-staining and I thought about painting them. Decided to give them a good old fashion elbow scrubbing! OH MY! That turned in to more of a job that I thought. Marty had brought something home for me to clean them with and I used it. It seemed to dull them up worse than they already were. Granny used to use Murphy's oil and Old English polish in which now they make different kinds for every type of wood possible. So, I bought some Murphy's oil that is also good for wood flo

{The Kitchen Makeover Has Begun}

I have been wanting to do a makeover in my kitchen every since we put in new granite counter tops. But...I forgot all the work that goes with a makeover! When it's us women getting a makeover all we have to do is sit there! With a kitchen makeover we have to do all the work! The fun has started so I must see it through. Walls are bare. Curtains and blinds down.We had to Spackle some holes....let's not discuss that too much as it makes my man fighting mad to put a hole in the wall.  Needless to say we will be using something different to hang my pretties and I have some new pretties stashed in my She-shed. One thing is for certain, I have gotten lots of cleaning done in the kitchen. Pantry door will be coming down. Baseboard coming up soon. Lots of small and big projects taking place. WHEW, I am already tired. Everything that needed to be taped has been. I walk in my kitchen and see Blue...blue, blue! A trip to Sherwin Williams has taken place and samples
