{May Has Arrived}

  I sure hope that your May has kicked off to a good start. The heat is settling in quick around our parts.  We've kicked off May with watching our softball girls win the District. Next week we start another round of ball. It's so much fun to watch these girls and especially our girl, Mallory. She plays centerfield.  We were so proud of both teams that played against each other. They all, hand in hand gathered together as one of our girls prayed for the game and also for one of our young men that was in a horrific car accident and fighting. His name is Kaden if you can think to lift him up to our Lord.  I had the opportunity recently to speak to a group of women at a ladies luncheon event at a local church. Oh we had so much fun. I wished I had gotten pictures of the beautiful decorations. We had a TEA PARTY and we each kept the cup that we drank out of it.  Isn't she just lovely? Easter has come and gone but we sure have a great time with family. We gather each...

{Happy 46th Wedding Anniversary To Us}

  Happy October everyone! I wanted to pop in today and share a few pictures. Marty and I celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary on September 23.  Oh it seems so long ago that we said "I Do". We started dating when I was 16. Married at 18 and began a family at 20. Needless to say we have surely grown up together. Praise the Lord that we are growing "Older" together.  We decided since it had been about 8-9 years since we had been to Savannah, Ga. that we would take a weekend there and just enjoy a scenic luncheon cruise.  We enjoyed walking River street and sightseeing, shopping and eating of course! It was a nice get away and perfect for us as we are simply two imperfect people that fit perfectly together.  I did spot Santa while in Savannah though! YES, I love Christmas so I had to stop at several Christmas shops! We've had outings that have kept us quite busy and we have surely been blessed to be able to attend our grands functions and our little outings toget...

{ Zucchini Bread, Grands, Wedding Anniversary} What a life?

  My daughter Marti Leigh gave me fresh Zucchini and needless to say bread baking began. Zucchini is a dessert to me! Pairs perfectly with coffee and our family enjoys it. I had 4 nice size zucchini's and only used two for this batch of bread. I will be baking more bread to freeze this week for sure.     Everyone carried what they wanted too home after Sunday Dinner  and Marty and I will enjoy some for the rest of this week.    I had saved a few tin cans and had just a tad of zucchini batter left so decided to bake it in the tin can. It turned out so cute! And, was just as yummy!    We went this watch this sweet girl who plays travel ball on Saturday do her thing. The weather was nice and cool.    We love watching our grands participate in various activities especially if it's not HOT! Suppose to be back up in the 80's this week but that is sure better than 99!!!   She plays Volleyball too. The grandson plays football. This sweet g...
