{I Am Retired Y'all!}

  It sure is a bittersweet time but I am surely looking forward to my adventure with the Lord. I wanted to share a few pictures with my friends. I have received so many phone calls, texts, cards and gifts this week that have just brought tears and joy.  Turning in my office keys of many years was hard! But, Jeremiah 29:11 is surely reminder that God has set the plans for my life and that I will trust.  I only had the blessing of serving alongside Pastor Scott for nearly a year and I pray God's blessings upon him and his family as his journey continues. However, he is a quick learner and learned that I was the BOSS! LOL! The former pastor and his wife that hired me 22 plus years ago even tuned in to the recognition with a video. It melted my heart. I will never forget interviewing with Bro. Edsel in his office and then I was interviewed by the personnel team.  Lastly, Bro. Edsel's wife Judy interviewed me at a luncheon. Bro. {Alfresco Dining For Two, Birthday Party and Sweet Moments}

I hope that you all enjoyed your Memorial Day. It sure was a hot day in my neck of the woods but it didn't stop me from having a little red, white and blue fun. I am so thankful for those who have and is currently serving in the Military. I have family members that have served our country and one that is still serving. My grandfather served in the Navy, my brother served in the Navy, my uncle served in the Airforce, one of my soninlove's served in the Marines and I have a nephew that still is serving in the Navy. I praise the Lord for every one of these men.  A lot going on these days for me it seems. We have been very busy with grandbabies birthday's and just celebrated our youngest granddaughter Annaleigh for her 1st birthday.  She has a mouth full of teeth, taking 4-5 steps, smiles all the time and has somewhat of a sweet-sassy personality going on. I LOVE IT! For Memorial Day my family had their own plans for the holiday so I decided that me and my man

Don't you just love the bohemian look? Seems everywhere I turn the new decor for parties is the bohemian style. Our niece Becca is expecting her first baby is July so our family threw her a little baby shower. Bohemian style.  My SIL Becky found a lady to make all the flowers, leaves and etc. and she simply placed it on bead board for a backdrop. I thought it turned out adorable.   This cute little mama to be enjoyed her shower very much. She's having a girl in case you can't tell by the decor. It is her motherinlove's, my SIL Becky's first grandchild. Needless to say there is excitement in the air! Oh I remember the birth of my first grandchild as though it was yesterday. Now she is 15 years old. We had a dessert only shower and oh my! Too much good stuff to choose from. See that adorable cake in the center? My SIS Shirley makes the BEST hummingbird cake you will ever eat! It is probably her most requested dessert.   Butter cak
