{Happy Resurrection Day}

I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month.  Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now!  Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said!  I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style.  The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters.  Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo

Just gotta share some WINS!

I love, love, love to give....and within the last week I have WON three giveaways myself...within a day apart my goodies came in the mail and I was like a child opening up Christmas presents. But gotta share this little story. I was reading Patti's Blog from Pandora's Box  at http://ppandorasbox.blogspot.com/2010/03/old-paper-goods.html about her post on "Old Paper Goods". I commented on her blog at how my husband LOVES anything that has history to it. Long story short the next thing I knew Patti was mailing us a couple of pieces of the paper goods history! My husband was thrilled. The funny thing was he had been a tad skeptical about this blogging stuff....(from the old school where you don't do anything online if you can help it) ha! When we opened up Patti's gift the first words he said were, "Well, if she is a mass-murderer from ONLINE at least she has good taste in History stuff and that was so nice of her to send this to us! So I am going to make

Music Note Creations!

I am glad to join Traci at http://www.beneathmyheart.blogspot.com with Best DIY Projects of March. I cannot believe the talent on here. But wanted to share my little $3 project. I call it my musical notes creations.  I bought these 3 pieces (soap holder, lotion dispenser, and toothbrush holder) from the Dollar Tree.   The stickers on the bottoms was really hard to get off. So...took my "must keep in the house" Goo-Gone product and in a second...no lie, a second, those little mean labels came right off.  Made copies of songs, musical notes and scripture out of an Hymnal. Then I cut them up...anyway I could to make it easy.   The Modpodge treatment began! I done 2 coats letting each coat dry before applying the next coat. When the pieces were dry I took outside and sprayed a coat of Acrylic Sealer and let them dry. I had the ribbon and rossettes already so decided to add a pretty finishing touch. I thought the outcome was really cute and very cheap! Decided this l

Yep, will be using these for my little mama's Lemonade Party in May!  Those of you that know me know I LOVE me some Jewells!  Found these darling necklaces...one was 25 cents, one was 50 cents and one was 75 cents.  And I just thought these two little gold spoons would be

EASTER GIVEAWAY

Oh I love a giveaway! Since Easter is almost here I wanted to do a giveaway that would be great for moms &  kids to do together or Nana's and grands! I found this great Wilton Mini Bunny pan. Holds 6 bunny cakes. Bake em', decorate em', and then eat em'. Random.org number generator will pick the winner. All you need to do is comment on THIS post what are your FAMILY traditions for Easter Sunday. That's it! Deadline will be Friday, March 26th @ noon. I'll begin with sharing our Family tradition for Easter.  Our Easter Sunday begins with a wonderful church service. Of course all of our services are good I know but Easter Sunday will is extra special to my heart. Though we know that Jesus died on a Roman Cross for our sin, was buried and rose from the grave three days later and then accended into Heaven to sit at the right hand of God, we still cherish the Easter Sunday Holiday as a sweet reminder.  After Church we have the traditional Easter Sunday D

Nifty Thrifty Tuesday & Giveaway

I am so excited to join Linda at Coastal Charm again for another Nifty Thrifty Tuesday.  Go on over and check her out!  http://linda-coastalcharm.blogspot.com For my first stop was naturally GW. Found this cute clock for $2.99. I am seeing a paint job and maybe a monogram on the front....  And wait till you see this: Found this at Bealls Outlet on the clearance rack for $5.00. Matches my kitchen and up it went. I love it! Then at Cato's..I have been watching this to see if it would go on sale. It was $10 regular price and they had marked it down for $6. Since there was only two left I figured I better snatch one! It's on my kitchen wall. And I must say that COFFEE is one of my simple pleasures!  Found my next item at a yard sale for $1.00. The column came from GW. YEP, paid a little more for that than I really wanted too ($10) but it just matched my bedroom soooo good! And the two really look nice together for a total of $11.  I fell in love with

Mondays Need To Begin With A Laugh And A Smile

Laughter is like changing a baby's diaper---it doesn't permanently solve any problems, but it makes things more acceptable for a while........ If computers get too powerful, we can organize them into a committee---that will do them in! Every time I say that dirty word..."EXCERCISE"...I wash my mouth out with chocolate.  Brain cells come and brain cells go but FAT cells live forever! I'd love to make up my mind but I can't remember where I left it! Boys will be boys, and so will a lot of middle-aged men!!!! The other night my wife asked me to take her out to someplace expensive. So I took to her to the GAS STATION. And this one was one of my favorites: Anyone who thinks that they are too small to make a difference has never been in a bed with a mosquito.  Hope your Monday will be one where you laugh and smile at the very fact that YOU WERE ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE BED THIS MORNING!   Have a great and blessed week. Don't forget to join
