{May Has Arrived}

  I sure hope that your May has kicked off to a good start. The heat is settling in quick around our parts.  We've kicked off May with watching our softball girls win the District. Next week we start another round of ball. It's so much fun to watch these girls and especially our girl, Mallory. She plays centerfield.  We were so proud of both teams that played against each other. They all, hand in hand gathered together as one of our girls prayed for the game and also for one of our young men that was in a horrific car accident and fighting. His name is Kaden if you can think to lift him up to our Lord.  I had the opportunity recently to speak to a group of women at a ladies luncheon event at a local church. Oh we had so much fun. I wished I had gotten pictures of the beautiful decorations. We had a TEA PARTY and we each kept the cup that we drank out of it.  Isn't she just lovely? Easter has come and gone but we sure have a great time with family. We gather each...

{It's Been A While Y'all!}

  Well seems that it's been almost two months since my last post! MERCY! I promise I have a good excuse. Since my last post we've experienced birthdays, sporting events, and well, any and everything in between including sickness. I will share a few of my favorite photos with you all during the last two months.  My November focus has surely become dear to my heart.  Marty celebrated his 65th birthday in October. God has surely blessed him as he had a rough year in 2022 with several frightening health scares. God surely went before us and leveled each mountain that we came upon. We also celebrated our sweet granddaughter Mallory's 16th birthday. EXCITED doesn't even describe her surprise to a new car. Well, it's new to her!  I did manage to get in a little hunting and once again God found favor on me! No explanation needed for my lipstick friends! LOL! Well, that is in between trying and I say TRYING to stay on top of my health!  This football season was my favori...

{It's a Hot Chocolate Kinda Night}

  I decided to treat myself to a cup of hot chocolate as I was preparing a little blog post for this week. Nothing like a cup of hot chocolate. Well, unless you are sitting by a nice fire enjoying it that is! It isn't cold enough for that in my neck of the woods. I wish it was! But, it's a perfect cool evening for hot chocolate. Marty, his dad and I had a little venison sausage making one day last week. Marty and I were so blessed to harvest deer this season and I cook with venison a lot so sausage was on our list.  It's a lot of work to be honest but oh so good. I stopped by one of local Dollar store's one day and was browsing through the Christmas on clearance to see if something caught my eye. Well, several things did in fact but this was so cute. It did not look christmasy so I thought someone had maybe just sat it down on the clearance rack. NOPE, when it rang up it was a whole $2.50. I sat it on my blanket ladder for a picture but not sure where I will put it. It ...

{WHERE DID OCTOBER GO?}

  Good Sunday afternoon y'all. Where in the world has the month of October went too? My girls and I just said today that it seems that Christmas is knocking on the door already. Whew! But I will tell you a secret.....I've already been listening to a little Christmas music! LOL! I was creating a Christmas music playlist and the next thing I knew I was singing Christmas carols!  Marty and I managed to get away to do a little hunting in those Georgia Pines and I never tire of seeing the cotton fields. I will miss seeing those beautiful puffs of white cotton when it's harvested. There is just something about sitting in a tree stand and enjoying nothing but nature and God.  The trip paid off as Marty was able to harvest several deer and his dad came to help us process as we like to process our own meat if possible.  I did get a little time on the mats last week and made my instructor some homemade chicken noodle soup. I loves soups all year round. I am ready for a pot of ...

{Happy New Year Everyone...2022}

  Happy New Year to all my blogging friends. What a gift the Lord has given to us to be able to go forward in this thing we call "life" in this New Year. I hope that you all have a wonderful New Year weekend. I spent a couple days with Marty and his dad in those wonderful Georgia pines.  We had a great time. The weather wasn't the best...too hot and too windy but we enjoyed our time.  I did a little clearance Christmas shopping, reading the Word and a whole lot of eating!  Tried my hand with my new air fryer before we left to go hunting and the chicken and potatoes turned out perfect! I think I am really going to like it. I am pinning lots of recipes and hope to try some more out this week.  As most of you my WORD for 2021 was JOY and my scripture was Neh. 8:11. "The joy of the Lord is my strength". When I felt that was the word for me little did I know that I would quickly learn that my true JOY  could come ONLY come from Him. Let's face it! A lot of life...

{Hunting, Shopping, and Christmas Decor} Fun times!

I Hope you've all had a great weekend. I sure have. I had a short weekend with my youngest daughter and her two girls hunting, shopping and drinking coffee but it was so nice for a quick getaway. Always good when time is spent with family.  This little thing is a hot mess. She finds this spot in Belk's and says, "take my picture Nana" . Mercy, mercy.  I did find me a pair of comfortable cute booties. YAY! The girl's daddy carried them on their first hunt to let them sit to see how they would do.  This one decided she would pose for the camera. But, she sorta gave up the idea of looking for a deer soon. I came back home from a short weekend hunting trip with what seemed like I had one hundred things I needed to do, you know, wash the hunting clothes, unload the dish washer, yada, yada, yada. But, I had not taken the time to go to the grocery store and wanted something hot and filling to eat. THEN I REMEMBERED! I had made homemade pot pies a few months back and dec...
