{May Has Arrived}

  I sure hope that your May has kicked off to a good start. The heat is settling in quick around our parts.  We've kicked off May with watching our softball girls win the District. Next week we start another round of ball. It's so much fun to watch these girls and especially our girl, Mallory. She plays centerfield.  We were so proud of both teams that played against each other. They all, hand in hand gathered together as one of our girls prayed for the game and also for one of our young men that was in a horrific car accident and fighting. His name is Kaden if you can think to lift him up to our Lord.  I had the opportunity recently to speak to a group of women at a ladies luncheon event at a local church. Oh we had so much fun. I wished I had gotten pictures of the beautiful decorations. We had a TEA PARTY and we each kept the cup that we drank out of it.  Isn't she just lovely? Easter has come and gone but we sure have a great time with family. We gather each...

{Thrifty Finds and some Sweet Stuff}

I want to share a few Thrifty finds and a little sweet stuff going on in my life but first, had to share this wonderful new tea with you. A sweet blogging friend sent this to me and I love it! I've had it as a hot tea with honey, cold tea with a hint of lemon, a tea latte and I have brewed up some great healthy teas with it using different vitamins. Needless to say I had a HUGE garbage bag to donate to our local thrift store called Rack Up. OF COURSE I just couldn't drop off a bag full of clothing without browsing around to see what treasures might catch my eye. That would have been so RUDE!!! LOL!  This adorable tobacco basket caught my eye and yes mam you can believe for $3 it was coming home with me! I love the basket as it can be changed with decor.  Then I spotted this small insulated bag for $2. I needed someth...

{One Project Down, Several More to Go}

I caught my daughter Melissa trying to sneak out of my house recently with my newest Valentine addition. Those gals of mine!!!! January is halfway over with! WHAT???? But, about the time mid January rolls around I start thinking about doing a little Valentine Decor. But I needed to get my wreaths made to go with my Blessed sign that was gifted to me for Christmas first.  I decided to put a wreath on each side the Blessed sign.   The grapevine wreaths are simple with burlap, cotton from the good old cotton fields in Georgia and a little sprig of this and a sprig of that.  The cotton is definitely authentic for sure. REAL cotton isn't perfect! LOL!  I can't believe how much cotton I actually threw away! ESPECIALLY when I realized the cost of faux cotton. Dang, I could have sold what I had left huh?  This picture doesn't do the wall hangings justice. The lighting was not to my best interest when I snapped this. But I li...
