{May Has Arrived}

  I sure hope that your May has kicked off to a good start. The heat is settling in quick around our parts.  We've kicked off May with watching our softball girls win the District. Next week we start another round of ball. It's so much fun to watch these girls and especially our girl, Mallory. She plays centerfield.  We were so proud of both teams that played against each other. They all, hand in hand gathered together as one of our girls prayed for the game and also for one of our young men that was in a horrific car accident and fighting. His name is Kaden if you can think to lift him up to our Lord.  I had the opportunity recently to speak to a group of women at a ladies luncheon event at a local church. Oh we had so much fun. I wished I had gotten pictures of the beautiful decorations. We had a TEA PARTY and we each kept the cup that we drank out of it.  Isn't she just lovely? Easter has come and gone but we sure have a great time with family. We gather each...

{Thankful For His Many Wonderful Deeds}

Puerto Rico   I hope that you have had a lovely weekend and day today. Our family enjoyed worshipping together this morning and then enjoyed another wonderful Sunday dinner with lots of chit-chatting. Y'all, I surely do not take it for granite that we are blessed to be able to have our children and grandchildren nearby and that we can have Sunday dinner together. The Lord is surely good to me. We enjoyed hearing all about our granddaughter Raygen's mission trip to Puerto Rico and loved looking at the many pictures she took. She said that she was so glad that she went and would go on another mission trip but she was glad to come home. There's no place like home.  She learned how to seal a roof along with many other things. She said she didn't know a thing about sealing a roof but now she does! LOL! Thank you to all that prayed for her. I do appreciate it.    My "favorite" grandson was super excited needless to say when Papa gave him an old shot gun that he has ...

SWEET SUMMERTIME

SWEET SUMMER TIME..... Web image.... There is nothing better than a warm blanket on a chilly night EXCEPT for watermelon and ice cream with the family in the summer! That large family began because of this couple, my husband's parents. My motherinlove went home to be with the Lord a few years back but she surely instilled in each of her children the importance of FAMILY . They had four children. And minus quite a few that could not be there with us, this is FAMILY . The Conner family finally got to be together  (due to Covid restrictions) for watermelon, ice cream and fellowship and what a great time had by all. Not everyone could come but for those that could, we surely enjoyed our time together. The little ones enjoyed their time together so much. We had a red neck slip and slide, little pool, water tables, watermelon seed spitting contest, ice cream galore, drinks, cake, and watermelon! I mean really, what else could a kid want.....OR ADULT ! We surely did enjoy our special ...

{It's Been a Nana Kind Of Weekend}

Kyleigh and I had a little one on one time this weekend and there was never a dull moment NOR a quiet one. LOL! But, she likes to sleep in in the mornings and then get up and lay around a bit! We call it "Our quiet time" . A girl after my own heart!  Fresh jumbo blueberry and chocolate chip muffins was on the agenda for one morning.  Of course she loves to share with her cousin Ada, my 4 year old grandgirl, so share is what we did.  This sweet girl gives more away than she keeps. Including gifts that you may give to her! LOL! She got a lesson in re-potting flowers and loved it.  Not sure what she liked the best. Digging in the dirt or wearing my gloves. Two of the pink petals fell off during the re-potting stage and she picks them up and carries them to lay on the grass by the pond. She told me that when the wind blew that those petals would fly to heaven so her Grandmother (On her dad's side) and her 2-Nanny as she called her (on her mom's side) would each have a pr...
