{Happy Resurrection Day}

I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month.  Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now!  Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said!  I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style.  The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters.  Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo

{Sweet Moments}

As most of you know by now my new word for 2016 is REFLECT and that covers a lot of territory for me but I am also trying to savor the sweet moments of life. I find myself being too busy, too preoccupied, to much of being in a hurry and well... JUST TOO MUCH OF EVERYTHING at times to truly reflect on whats happening right now in my life that reflects those little sweet moments.  Well one sweet moment for me was going to register for my daughter's baby shower. I don't think the store was used to a "group" of people waltzing in to register but then....they don't know my BUNCH !  We had so much fun registering for that sweet little grandgirl that's on the way. My girl eagerily filled out the paper work to get started. And...she got used to that little hand scanner quick like too! Glad It wasn't me scanning things I wanted because I would have been there all day! Too much to look at and pick from! I mean DANG...how many sippy cups do they m

{Grab a cup of hot tea and let's chat}

We are ALREADY midway through the first month of the NEW YEAR ! I promise I think it was just last week when I regrouped from Christmas and now my mind is going in 100 different directions for the New Yea r.  For our family we have a new grandbaby on the way and lots to do to get ready for her arrival. Plus my daughter that is having this sweet little girl is also bui lding a new home so lots to do there.  I have a mission trip to Nicaragua in Feb r uary with 8 other ladies and 2 men. My calendar is already filled with things for family , friends, birthdays, church events and more! Dang...I am tired just thinking about these things!  Do you get like that at times? Overwhelmed when you start thinking about all the things on your agenda to do? I used to be one of those gals that could multitask with the best of them. Now...it takes me all day to do what it used to take me to do in two hours. And my mind can only function on one thing at a time.............. Please tell me

{Let's do some girl talk today}

Web Image So I was asked yesterday if I done any kind of craft or homemade goody for Christmas gifts this year as she knows I usually do something along those lines. Well, I must admit that I was a tad busier than I like to be right about the time the holidays was approaching so NO, I really didn't do anything crafty or homemade except for one gift for a friend but I do want to share it with you as I thought it turned out really cute!  I saw the idea of taking sprinkles and filling clear ornaments with them and making a little baking gift so decided to do this for my friend. The gold basket held ornaments with sprinkles, sugar cookie mix, dishtowel, hot chocolate, chocolate candy, peppermint, cookie cutters and etc. I wrapped the basket in cellophane,I tied a wooden spoon to it and a cookie cutter and it turned out really cute.  So now it's your turn. Did you whip up something during the holidays for a gift?  Okay now for a hard question. Do you STIL

{Happy New Year} Tablescape and 2016 Word

Well the New Year has begun. It will take me all of this new year to quit writing (2015). Praising the Lord for another New Year, how about you? I wanted to share my New Year Tablescape with you. (funny because I was out of town for the New Year) but....I still could look at it right???? Started out with these pretty chargers my daughter Melissa bought for me. Don't you love the color?  And I decided to use some yard sale dishes I bought cheap of course! But I must say right now they have become my favorite dishes.  Look at my Tea pot! Don't you just love it? The ladies on our Ministry Team at my church gave me a lovely basket packed with timeless treasures and ooh I could not wait to put those pretties to good use. I love how it all started to come together. I wanted a little something different so I made these little centerpieces to go in each place setting. Turned out quite cute don't you think?  My napkins came from Lil' Dolly's
