{Happy Resurrection Day}

I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month.  Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now!  Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said!  I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style.  The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters.  Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo

{Waiting on the Lord}

 Web Image Well, I don't know about you but sometimes I find "waiting" hard to do. When I wanted something that usually meant I really wanted it last week! How about you? Do you find yourself becoming impatient when waiting on something?  Waiting is our biggest battle .  We wait at the red light for what seems to takes 30 minutes to turn green. We wait in line at the grocery store with a buggy loaded down along with 20 others only to see that two lines are open for business. We wait for something we've ordered to come in through the mail that has been on back order and well..the waiting can try our patience.  Then there's other "waiting" periods in our life too. The ones that seem to be of a more serious nature.  We wait for healing and it doesn’t happen.  We wait for financial provision and still struggle to make ends meet. We wait for a new position on our job to become available and yet two years later we find we are still waiting. We w

{Who wants to go to the BEACH?}

Well, I will be going to the beach with my family in a few weeks and the grandbabies are counting down the days for sure. In the meantime I will just enjoy a simple "Beach" tablescape at home and think about the beach. Aren't these plates from Walmart just adorable? Love the colors.Added my bamboo table runner with bamboo silverware and liked how it looked with the beach theme.  I had a few of those cute little fish bowls I had used for something else so grabbed them up.  I didn't have enough fish net to put on them and my box I used for my centerpiece but some Burlap ribbon saved the day with a few painted seashells left over from our beach trip last year. I also had a couple of nice larger shells from St. Augustine Beach so painted them as well to use. A little colored water and some sea shells and well, it worked for me!  Cute little salt and pepper shakers. I was pleased with my little wooden box I had purchased while in Jesup, Ga. Mo

{When Life's Interruptions Becomes God's Divine Appointment)

I was sitting in a comfy seat with a cute little pink robe on drinking my hot Lemon Raspberry Tea while looking at a magazine and I felt it. THE NUDGE!     Has someone ever NUDGED you ? Especially when you are minding your own business, not bothering anyone else and truthfully...do not want to be bothered but all of a sudden you felt the nudge.  Web Image I was waiting my turn to be called in to do the Annual Mammogram. What every woman loves to do right? And for me it's an every 6 month thing so needless to say I know the ropes! Been doing it for so long now that one of the receptionist that has been there for at least the past 13 years that I have been going asked me how my FOUR grandchildren was doing and if I had any more on the way! (her memory is good is all I know)   I know my choices of colors for my little robe gown is white or pink. (I always choose pink) I know that I have a choice of decaf or regular coffee or I can pick from an assortment of fl

{SON-Flowers}

Don't you just love sunflowers? When I think about sunflowers I think of two things. My motherinlove who loved sunflowers and Fall. I came across a devotional written by Julia Bettencourt on sunflowers and thought it so appropriate for today as I wanted to share my sunflowers with you. Here's a few lessons we can learn from the sunflower.    Sunflowers Track The Sun.   Most plants are attracted to light but the flowering head of the sunflower actually tracks the sun following it's path and moving toward where it is in the sky all during the day. I read somewhere that sunflowers track the sun when they are in bud stage. Isn't that how it usually goes for us as Christians? When we first come to know the Lord, we get excited about knowing all about Him and living for Him, but after awhile we sometimes grow a little preoccupied with other things and get our eyes off of the Lord.   Wouldn't it be great if as a Christian we'd track th

Celebration Time!

My Middle Daughter Melissa just celebrated her 31st birthday! I told my husband.... YOU MUST BE OLD TO HAVE A DAUGHTER THIS OLD!   Of course having one older than her and one younger than her is defiantly telling both of our ages. LOL! Melissa's birthday was actually July 9th but we celebrated with the family on Sunday. The birthday girl took after her mama and needless to say WE celebrate our birthdays for a whole month!   I cook dinner for my family every Sunday but when it's YOUR birthday you get to pick the meal of choice. So she picked green beans, mac and cheese, and potato salad. Fresh tomatoes and cukes from the garden with some red pickle rings that I made last year was MY choice and since I am the cook I do get a little say.... BBQ Chicken was her meat choice cooked on the grill. And fresh homemade bread. Jalapeno and Cheese loaves and a loaf of Rosemary and Parsley bread. I've been working on a Beach Tablescape so I got it ready just
