{Let June Begin}

  It's Sunday afternoon and my tribe has left after a wonderful and breezy afternoon. The youngest two grands made friends with a baby bird today and was so sad when they had to let it go.  We attended a dance recital for these two littles. They both done so good. It was so bright outside and we were all squinting in pictures. The girls had a fan club for sure. Marty and I are blessed that our family always supports one another. Just BLESSED y'all. Just blessed! Marty enjoys coffee cakes and breads with his morning coffee on his way to work so I baked a yummy cranberry & orange coffee cake with drizzled icing. It smelled amazing baking. I think I might have a slice in the morning. LOL! The month of May was National Physical Fitness & Sports month so we ladies finished up strong. We added extra workouts to our yoga classes in different areas and well, let me just say, "I found a few muscles that I didn't know I had". LOL! My focus board for June is so fitti

{Family Beach Vacation}

Our family beach vacation surely went by too quick. We had such a great time. I could so be a beach bum. It must be in my blood because I can sit on the beach all day long. Give me a chair, water, a few snacks and a good book and well...time somehow just manages to slip by me.  Nothing like the sound of the ocean. From day one I piled up in my chair and read. I read off and on the whole week. Went through two books.  I have other readers in my family too. Makes me happy they love to read. We spent lots of time on the beach. We only had one day that we had to hurry and pack up as a wind storm came through as well as the rain. One day we packed up too soon as it looked like a storm was brewing but it passed us by. So we headed to the pool. We entertained ourselves. We played games and cards.  Never a dull moment with my crew.  Even the youngest grandbaby loved the beach.  Marty wanted to buy a kite for the

{Fun in the Country and Beach Time is a Comin'}

Nothing like walking outside your home and picking beautiful flowers! But oh has this heat been a killer on my pretties. At least I have been able to enjoy a few pretty blooms.  Me and this sweet girl made  cookie dough chocolate chip cupcake brownies together. Of course licking the bowl was her favorite part! She and her older sister stay with me one night and one day each week through the summer and we have had so much fun.  And I am sure you know by now that we do lots of baking at Nana's house. We went straight to baking with our hair a mess and no makeup on but who cares, right? Well my 14 year old granddaughter might care when she realizes nana posted this picture huh?  Our Jacksonville Baptist Association was having a banquet at our church so this grandgirl and I made red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing with a blueberry on top for their event. And of course licking the beaters is the favorite part!  She may need a hair cut before long.

Low Key Holiday and The Birthday Girl

I hope that you all had a great 4th of July. We enjoyed our youngest daughter and her family spending the day with us.  Good old fashion hamburgers and hot dogs went on the grill and then we fried potatoes! You just beat good old french fries! My daughter made this cute dessert. And she was dressed very patriotic as well as her two kiddos. Oh I could just eat these girls up!  I didn't decorate too much at all for the 4th but did manage to do a little patriotic tablescape.  This child is the sweetest ever. We call her our Joy baby and a joy she is.   And don't ya just love my patriotic shoes?  We celebrated my middle daughter's birthday too. (Melissa)   We had a low country boil and made homemade ice cream. YUM! Water fun, blowing bubbles, eating peaches off the tree, fishing and lots of talking. My bunch does that well....TALK! Being a mom of three daughters has been a trip and a half.  There was never a dull
