{Happy Resurrection Day}

I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month.  Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now!  Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said!  I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style.  The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters.  Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo

Wednesday in the Word-The Lies that we Believe and A Giveaway!

Speaking of lies! Oh I wish I had the time to tell you all the lies that Satan has whispered to me and even yelled at me through the years. I bet some of you would have some good stories to tell too!  I have a friend that says, "If you will lie then you will steel" and I think there is a lot of truth to that! Satan is a liar and a thief! John 8:44 says " You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth , because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it ".   Web image Satan loves to tell us that we are worthless and that we do not matter to anyone or to Christ. He tells us that God is not enough and we need more. He whispers to us that we are weak . He looks us straight in the face and tells us that God does not love us.  Oh my friends Satan lies to us about things that we

Wednesday in the Word-When your plan A for life doesn't work out!

I am just so excited that our church will be having Debbie Taylor Williams from the "Big Hair" state of Texas join us for an event in April. If you haven't read her book, "Plan A Woman in a Plan B World" then please go online and order it. You will be so glad that you did. I am almost through reading her book and several things popped out to me that made me truly realize her realness in which I must say.... "I am all about keeping it real" . I love it when someone really ask the questions that most of us as women are ONLY thinking and wishing someone would talk about it! How about you?  What happens when your Knight in Shining Armor decided that when your children were 3 and 5 that he'd leave you for another women? What happens when you are fired from the job that you help to build from the ground up? What happens when you planned to stay home with your babies but financially you do not see a way?  What happens when your spouse dies unexp

Wednesday in the Word-Tired? Weary? Burned Out?

Am I tired? At times I am . Am I weary? At times I am . Do I get burned out? At times I do . I think we all suffer at one time or another with different things that come into our daily lives. I had a sweet sister in the Lord just openly share her heart with me that she was burned out on religion. The thing is that if religion is what we are seeking we will become burned out quick like! The thing I KNOW is that our walk with Christ is not without struggles nor suffering. He never promised us that it would be. He did promise us that He would never leave nor forsake us no matter what. I find comfort in that promise.  When we are dealing with being tired, worn out, sad, afraid, unsure, or whatever it is that is going on in our life if we are not very careful we will allow it to consume us. So much so that we give up on people in general, family and friends. We hide in our closets and invite no one into our life and we become bitter, complacent, and stale. We no longer feel or see

A Day to Remember

I've honestly been meaning to share our youngest daughter's special day but somehow time just gets away from me these days. Anyone have that problem?  I know I am a lot little partial but isn't she just beautiful? She chose a venue in Savannah, Ga. called the Botanical Gardens. It was beautiful. Small, private wedding with immediate family and close friends was her choice.   Her dress was simple but yet elegant. The cutest thing they do now at David's Bridal is when you find the PERFECT dress then you ring the bell and everyone claps for you! We had so much fun wedding shopping. The garden area was beautiful. Roses was everywhere and in every color. For it to be a November wedding the garden looked like Spring time. This quaint two story house called the Reinhard House is where she got dressed and we had a cake and punch reception. Time to get ready! Her sisters busy helping her to get ready and needless to say she is enjoying

Wednesday in the Word-It's a Brand New Year!

With the Words "Happy New Year" comes the words of NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS . What is a New Year Resolution? For most people it is something that you want to do better or be better at. For others it's things you want to quit doing. For a lot of people it is goals that you set for yourself for the year and hope that you complete them.  The practice of making New Year’s resolutions goes back to the ancient Babylonians. There is just something about the start of a new year that gives us the feeling of a fresh start and a new beginning. In reality , there is no difference between December 31 and January 1. Nothing mystical occurs at midnight on December 31. The Bible does not speak for or against the concept of New Year’s resolutions. Many Christians make New Year’s resolutions to pray more, to read the Bible every day, and to attend church more regularly. These are great goals. However, these New Year’s resolutions fail just as often as the non-Chris
