{Happy Resurrection Day}

I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month.  Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now!  Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said!  I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style.  The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters.  Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo

Laundry Room Rag Tie Wreath and Tutorial

Have I told you that I DISLIKE PAINTING? Well in case I haven't let me tell you now... I DISLIKE PAINTING ! And before you ask why I didn't hire someone to do the painting well do you know what PAINT cost these days? Dang, I couldn't buy the paint and hire it done! LOL! This year we decided to do some revamping to our home.  So we started in the living room and I am proud to say I am THROUGH with it ! When I get a chance I will show you some pictures. A total new look and I love it! Next on list is my laundry room/mudroom. I call it the "Catch all" room. I've not done anything in that room for years and decided it was time! In another post I will show you before and after pictures but for today I really wanted to share my wreath with you. I decided to totally change my laundry room with decor and color this time around. Going from beige/tan color scheme with birdhouses/seeds packets and tulip wall paper border to Grays, yellows, blues with some

Party Time!

We just recently celebrated mom's 75th birthday. Of course she celebrated for several days it seems. (I get it honest I guess....celebrating my birthday for weeks, LOL)   My sister and I celebrated birthday cake with her and two of her friends along with balloons and gifts. Mom's roommate's birthday was the day after hers so we included sweet Sadie in the party! I couldn't help but laugh because neither of these ladies wanted to take their bibs off for the pictures. They didn't want to mess up their clothes! We call these three the THREE AMIGO'S! They sit together every day to have their meals, play games, do crafts, pop corn parties, ice cream socials, tea parties, fine dining and well, there isn't a lack for something to do that is for sure! Miss Ruby is a woman after my own heart. You can rest assured that she will have her matching jewelry on every day and she DID WANT HER BIB OFF for her picture! LOL! Love me some Ruby~ Al

Wednesday in the Word-Who is standing in the Gap?

We may all be different in many aspects of life but one thing I do know as a Mother and now as a Nana is this; If we truly love our children and grands then we want God's absolute best for their lives! PRAYING for them is a MUST !  Web Image 15 years ago a group of women at my church began a weekly time of praying together as moms for our children. We started out with a book called "When Mothers Pray" by Cheri Fuller. (I highly recommend this book for all Moms and Grandmothers) Then we began a Moms in Touch prayer group founded by Fern Nicholes . We met one day a week for one hour for several years. We had 12 groups of ladies in which we had 4 ladies to a group. We done this one hour before our regular Bible Study classes would begin at our church and needless to say... we filled our fellowship hall with praying mama's!    Web image Recently me and three other friends had the opportunity to meet for a lunch. My friend Sheila had retired from her

Things that make me happy!

Fried potato sandwich with Mayo makes me REAL Happy! This sign is in my daughter Melissa's dining room. I love it! Our friend Kaci does lots of different signs. If you are on FB she can be found at  Repurposed & Rustic. This has quickly became my new favorite toy, a bamboo salt box ! While baking bread with friends recently I was introduced to this cute little thing.  And of course I had to have one! You can find them on Amazon but I found mine at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Love the way the lid just slides to the side magnetically. I cook a lot with Kosher salt and I've been cooking some with Sea salt. My new favorite salt is Himalayan Pink Salt .  Hand written recipes: The $300 Fudge recipe was a favorite of mine growing up as every Christmas my granny would make a large batch. She would make enough for us to enjoy all through the holiday season and of course enough for us to carry home some too!  The Dressing recipe : My motherinlov
