{Happy Resurrection Day}

I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month.  Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now!  Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said!  I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style.  The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters.  Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo

{Celebrating 39 Years of Marriage}

We celebrated our 39th Wedding Anniversary on September 23 and spent a quiet, relaxing evening at home.  WOW! BABIES....JUST BABIES!  We were both 18 years old. Actually my man was about to turn 19 but oh my...that seems so young to me now! Of course years ago couples married at a young age. My man's grandmother was 14 years old. His mom was 16 years old. So...I guess being 18 meant that we were REALLY GROWNUP'S! LOL!  We dated two years before we married. I can remember to this day as my grandfather was driving me to the church and about 1 mile from the church he pulled over on the side of the road, took me by the hands and said, "Baby, you don't have to go through with this wedding if you don't won't too. " I remember saying, "Papa, I love him! My grandfather simply said, "Then that's good enough for me".  Basically, we have grown up together. We started our family at the age of 20 and God has truly blessed our family. Thr

{Just a little Antique Store shopping}

My middle daughter has turned into an antique shopper! She DISLIKES Thrift stores but has decided she has a new love for Antique stores. So we ventured out last Friday to scout out a few antique stores.  Well the truth is that most of these places that say ANTIQUES always house a wide variety of things...not necessarily antiques. People get confused I think on the terms antique, vintage, retro and etc. But any old ways...whatever floats your boat right?     This gal right here has ALWAYS teased me about the fact that I am one of those people that has to look and touch everything in the store and a lot of times I wind up walking out without buying anything. Well...that is the truth. (I've also been known to place items in my little buggy only to change my mind and put them back!!!)    The funny thing is I have a 5 year old granddaughter that does the same thing! She thinks she needs to look and touch everything so I love it when she goes shopping with us because I feel

{Thrifting and Hunting} LOVE IT!

And when I say Hunting I am talking about Whitetail deer hunting....LOL!  Me and man just recently went for a few days to do a little bow hunting. Yes, we're just regular old country hunter's and enjoy deer hunting together but there is just something about being out in nature and looking around at all that God has created. It just WOWS me!   Yep, I look like a little boy with a pink camo backpack. Ha-ha!  But...there is just something about the peace and quiet in the woods. A time to medi tate and reflect ! Sometimes we just simply need to regroup ! But I must  tell you that though I am a huntress...I don't go anywhere without my lipstick!!! We truly do enjoy the outdoors...   However, I did take a little time to do some "Thrifting" . And my man is so good to not complain and bless his heart...he will sit in the truck and wait till I return with my stash! YEP....I think he's a keeper! I have several friends t

{Calgon take me away}

Have you ever just had one of those moments when your schedule is full , the busyness of life seems to be at full speed ahead, your mind is going in a thousand different directions, your heart is filled to the brim with words but yet no words come and you murmur the words "Calgon take me away".....     Web image (Newsflash...they lied on that commercial)    I know because I've tried it!   For me when those moments, sometimes days...come upon me I know that I must carve out some time to be alone, to tune out the world, and to listen! I listen to myself! YES , I talk to myself....now that I have admitted that I feel better! Sometimes I answer myself because at least I hear what I want too! Anyone else willing to admit that you have the same problem????? Web image   A lot of times I grab a cup of coffee and I begin to doodle....and I'm not a good doodler! NO ART LESSONS FROM ME!  But most oftentimes I go to the Word of God . It's there tha
