{May Has Arrived}

  I sure hope that your May has kicked off to a good start. The heat is settling in quick around our parts.  We've kicked off May with watching our softball girls win the District. Next week we start another round of ball. It's so much fun to watch these girls and especially our girl, Mallory. She plays centerfield.  We were so proud of both teams that played against each other. They all, hand in hand gathered together as one of our girls prayed for the game and also for one of our young men that was in a horrific car accident and fighting. His name is Kaden if you can think to lift him up to our Lord.  I had the opportunity recently to speak to a group of women at a ladies luncheon event at a local church. Oh we had so much fun. I wished I had gotten pictures of the beautiful decorations. We had a TEA PARTY and we each kept the cup that we drank out of it.  Isn't she just lovely? Easter has come and gone but we sure have a great time with family. We gather each...

{What's Happening}

Hello dear blogging friends. Hope you all had a great weekend. Despite one eye healing and one bad eye, I am still keeping up with life as normal as I can and much appreciative to those who have reached out to me to assure me...I will feel normal soon. It's great to know others will pray for you and especially to hear from those that have felt the struggle because it's truly real.    When the 4 year old granddaughter wanted Chocolate cake well, of course I whipped up a batch of chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing topped with chocolate chips. I hear chocolate is really good to help your eyes heal from surgery too...... The oldest granddaughter carried me back to the eye doctor and of course I treated her to lunch. It is a good feeling to know I have a grand with drivers license now! LOL!  We went to watch my favorite grandson.... my only grandson , play basketball with our church team over the weekend. It was a treat to have his great-grandfather there too.  Finis...

{The Sweet Life}

 I have been enjoying the "Sweet Life" with family. A field trip to "Sweet Pete's" was in store with my granddaughter, Mallory Grace.    Mallory is the tallest one in the picture. She's about to catch up in height with Nana. We enjoyed a luncheon there to begin our day and then we watched how candy was made. Honestly, I think the field trip was for me. I was intrigued by all the details involved in candy making.We participated in a Science project involving candy and we learned how to make lollipops. We were also given a tour of behind the scenes in the candy making factory. Very interesting to say the least. We were allowed to carry other family members so two other grandbabies got to enjoy the day as well.  The colors used throughout Sweet Pete's and the decor is amazing. Every kind of candy that you can imagine is available. And just so you know....the Sea Salt Chocolate Caramels are sooooooooooooooooo GOOD!  I am tea...
