{Happy Resurrection Day}

I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month.  Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now!  Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said!  I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style.  The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters.  Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo

Wednesday in the Word-Heavy Load

Dr. Edsel Bone shared in one of his sermons a story about a man that was doing some shopping in the grocery store and his small son was closely following him. The boy was carrying a large basket and the father was loading it with one item after another. He put in canned goods, sugar, flour, meat, and a variety of vegetables. A customer who was watching began to feel sorry for youngster, thinking his load was becoming to heavy for him. Walking up behind him she said quietly, "That's a big load for such a little chap like you to carry, isn't it? The boy turned to her as if surprised by her question. Then he smiles and said, "Oh, don't worry. my dad knows how much I can carry!"    Image Credit Contrary to what many of God's people think, our heavenly Father also knows our load limit and understands precisely how much each of us can endure. For every added load that seems to take us to our limit, our Heavenly Father has considered it's weight

Wednesday in the Word-Self Worth

As women, so many of us find ourselves: Basing our self-worth on how others see us and on our accomplishments Defining our value based on our looks Pleasing everyone on the home front, the family, co-workers, friends and even the church community. But it doesn’t have to be this way. If only we could see ourselves as God sees us! We say to ourselves: “I must be loved or approved by  every significant other person in my life and all my accomplishments must be great".   The Truth is: If we are living to make sure that others love us, we give them permission to evaluate us based on what we do – we give people the power to determine our self-worth. We think: If ONLY I had her hair, her height, her weight, her skin, her clothes and etc. then I would be perfect. The Truth is: If God had intended for us to look like HER He would have made all women to look alike. We have been fashioned and designed by the Master Craftsman to

Wednesday In The Word-Taste and See

O Taste and see that the Lord is good, blessed is the one that takes refuge in Him. Psalm 34:8 I couldn't help but think about this scripture as I was putting up Red Pickle rings from the cucumbers we had managed to grow in our little garden. And I say MANAGED because the rain we have consumed basically drowned our little garden out this season with exception of a few tomatoes and squash. BUT cucumbers was plentiful for us this season so PICKLES was made! As a girl growing up we canned and froze everything and had acres upon acres of veggies and I loathed that time of the year! I knew it meant work and lots of it. Gardening as an adult has been a joy because #1 I don't have to do it...I just like to do it! There is a difference between have too and want too isn't there? But it is still lots of work.....   I know that The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it according to Genesis 2:15 and here I was (WOMAN)

Wednesday In The Word-God bless America! Why Should He?

The church sign where I work says.......  AMERICA BLESS GOD These words makes one think doesn't it? We ask that God bless America and I can't help but wonder, why should He? Have we given Him any reason to bless America? In all reality He has blessed America with more than we can ever begin to imagine and yet we take advantage of Him and the things He has blessed us with. We misuse the things He has given to us, we easily accept the unacceptable simply because we don't want to get involved or we feel we're only one voice and it doesn't matter and we turn a deaf ear and blind eye to the wickedness that surrounds us in hopes that someone else will take care of it. We stay quiet because we do not want to offend anyone. We pray all the while... GOD PLEASE BLESS US! Bless your land and your people!  We can't continue to sin like we do and expect our God who is HOLY GOD to turn a blind eye from what is going on! I know we've read this 1000 times and fo
