{Good Times With Family}

I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Our family surely enjoyed our day with extended family. We always have MORE than you could imagine to eat and such a great time together.  Granddaughter Mallory turned 14 on Nov. 23rd so we celebrated her a few days before Thanksgiving with cake and ice cream. She had a great birthday. She went to see The Christmas Carol at the Alhambra Dinner Theatre and loved it.   We snapped a few pictures on Thanksgiving day and as always, I am so proud of my family.  I did take a little time for "tea time" and whipped up a pineapple, mango, and cinnamon spice loaded tea. YUM! We loaded up Thanksgiving afternoon and went with the guys to our hunting grounds and done a little hunting, eating out and shopping. My oldest daughter didn't go as my grandson had a football game. Which, she doesn't hunt either but hates being left out so.... She cloned herself in our picture. LOL! Aren't these shoes the cutest? I found these at TJ Maxx

WEDNESDAY IN THE WORD-JESUS CALLING

I just have to share today about this devotional book. This has been one of the best if not the BEST daily devotional books I've ever read. (And I have a lot of d e vot ional book s) For Today, I would like to share my devotional. I pray the Lord speaks to your heart as He has mine through it. When things don't go as you would like, accept the situation immediately. If you indulge in feelings of regret, they can easily spill over the line into resentment. Remember that I am Sovereign over your circumstances, and humble yourself under my mighty hand. Rejoice in what I am doing in your life, even though it is beyond your understanding. I am the Way , the Truth , and the Life . In me you have everything you need, both for this life and for the life yet to come. Don't let the impact of the world shatter your thinking or draw you away from focusing on me. The ultimate challenge is to keep fixing your eyes on Me, no matter what is going on around you. When I am centra

WEDNESDAY IN THE WORD--WORRY

Have you ever wondered what worry really is? Some define it as anxiousness, or fear that sits in your head and festers. Worry represents a process in which the individual continues to live in the past or tries to live in the future . Matthew 6:25-34 says: 25  “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26  Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27  Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life 28  “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29  Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30  If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire

WEDNESDAY IN THE WORD-Vision Prayers

WOW! I feel it has been forever since I blogged. Seems to be so hard these days to blog. Picking and choosing has been my game plan recently. Don't misunderstand me as I do enjoy blogging and I do love to look at and read my friends blogs as well. It is just that the Lord has been showing me through recent events in my life that He must be first . Let's just say I am having to do a little re-arranging in my life. Today I would like share something from my Bible Study that has r eally JUMPED o ff the page at me. I pray that it does the s ame for you .                Praying with EXPECTANCY! Most of the time if we will admit it we te nd to pray with .....DOUBT! Doubt that God will answer us . We know that He always an s wers though it might be yes, no or wait. But HE ANSWER S !  What if we go ahead and just grab the mindset of "I am praying EXPECTING something to happen in this area of my life or with this relationship, this person, or this situation? Take just a
