{Happy Resurrection Day}

I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month.  Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now!  Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said!  I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style.  The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters.  Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo

SWEET SUMMERTIME

SWEET SUMMER TIME..... Web image.... There is nothing better than a warm blanket on a chilly night EXCEPT for watermelon and ice cream with the family in the summer! That large family began because of this couple, my husband's parents. My motherinlove went home to be with the Lord a few years back but she surely instilled in each of her children the importance of FAMILY . They had four children. And minus quite a few that could not be there with us, this is FAMILY . The Conner family finally got to be together  (due to Covid restrictions) for watermelon, ice cream and fellowship and what a great time had by all. Not everyone could come but for those that could, we surely enjoyed our time together. The little ones enjoyed their time together so much. We had a red neck slip and slide, little pool, water tables, watermelon seed spitting contest, ice cream galore, drinks, cake, and watermelon! I mean really, what else could a kid want.....OR ADULT ! We surely did enjoy our special

{It's Been a Nana Kind Of Weekend}

Kyleigh and I had a little one on one time this weekend and there was never a dull moment NOR a quiet one. LOL! But, she likes to sleep in in the mornings and then get up and lay around a bit! We call it "Our quiet time" . A girl after my own heart!  Fresh jumbo blueberry and chocolate chip muffins was on the agenda for one morning.  Of course she loves to share with her cousin Ada, my 4 year old grandgirl, so share is what we did.  This sweet girl gives more away than she keeps. Including gifts that you may give to her! LOL! She got a lesson in re-potting flowers and loved it.  Not sure what she liked the best. Digging in the dirt or wearing my gloves. Two of the pink petals fell off during the re-potting stage and she picks them up and carries them to lay on the grass by the pond. She told me that when the wind blew that those petals would fly to heaven so her Grandmother (On her dad's side) and her 2-Nanny as she called her (on her mom's side) would each have a pre

{Food And Family} What Better Combination?

I hope that you all have been enjoying your weekend. We have had lots of rain and with trying to work outside this weekend well, it's been a hit and a miss! But I am enjoying a little bounty from my little garden and of course baking! And, trying out a new recipe for grilled chicken that I would like to share. SO GOOD!  Of course my family enjoyed the cake after Sunday dinner too. Who doesn't like cake balls on top drizzled in Hersey's chocolate glaze????  I tried a new recipe for a marinade and a sauce for grilled chicken wings. If you like chicken and you like to grill  then this recipe is a MUST . Marinade   2-3 lbs chicken wings 3/4 cup of Olive Oil 2 tablespoons of onion powder 2 tablespoons of Garlic powder (I used garlic and herbs) 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper Juice of one lemon 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper Mix with a whisk and coat chicken pieces. Place in a bowl wrapped with foil or plastic wrap or Ziplock bags. Refrigerate overnight. Al

{Picture Overload} WARNING-GRANDS ON BOARD

Well Nana has been back at it again snapping pictures of two of grandgirls. These girls are sisters and they each have their own unique personality in which I wouldn't have it any other way. They each bring their own style and charisma to the table and it surely makes life more interesting and fun. This girl loves her some ball playin g. She plays travel ball and enjoys it so much. She is our "Sports" girl for sure.  She's little but oh is she fast! Just give this cute girl a dance costume or for that matter, any kind of prissy clothes, makeup and jewelry and she is good to go. She loves to dance. This girl right here loves her some Star Bucks and enjoys being with her friends and family. This sweet thing here loves glitter, bling, dress up and dippin dots ice cream!  Most often the first place she explores is my latest jewelry buys! She is truly a girl after my own heart because she LOVES her some lipstick! Marty and I took a little time for "Just us" and
