  Happy Sunday afternoon everyone. I hope that you all have had a wonderful week and weekend. We sure have and a busy one with family. But, it's the life that I love. I have been wanting to decorate a little for Fall but it's been so hard with the temps being so high. And, even when the temps drop a little the humidity is horrible. Praise the LORD for AC! I am READY for a little Fall so finally got my dining table decorated at least. I wanted simple for my table and I wanted to incorporate my little truck. Y'all know I love me some little trucks.  I found these cuties at Hobby Lobby and loved them. Of course that 40% off surely made it an easy decision to purchase them.  It's just not FALL to me without  some "orange" but I wanted  a little something different this year and I wanted to incorporate some orange.   I shared with you last week that I was making cakes and freezing them for upcoming birthdays so today we reaped the harvest of two birthdays being celebrated. My soninlove David celebrated his 40th and my oldest granddaughter Raygen celebrated her 17th.  (David and his beautiful family) Of course I let my granddaughter pick her birthday meal and it was fried chicken, green beans, corn, macaroni and cheese, rolls, and deviled eggs.  We had quite a good Sunday lunch. But, we usually do because I cook most every Sunday for my family. LOL!  I went by to visit her at work as she works PT at their gym and I carried her balloons to help make her day extra special.  Her birthday cake was a hit. I tried a new recipe as she requested a homemade vanilla cake and homemade chocolate icing. So, she got a 4 layer vanilla cake with all the trimmings. We celebrated my youngest daughter's birthday with a homemade chocolate cake,  chocolate icing and of course some vanilla ice cream with hot fudge sauce and all the trimmings.   She had a wonderful birthday celebration at the beach with her little family and then a family celebration with extended family. In case you haven't noticed, it doesn't take much for us to throw down a party of some kind and celebrate. LOL! But, there is nothing any better than celebrating special occasions with those you love the most.
