Well, it's not HOT in my neck of the woods in temperature (not today anyway) but it's sure been a HOT minute since I last posted. For that I am so sorry but it seems my life has been consumed with doctor appointments, tests, and MORE tests, biopsies, surgery and so much more. One day at a time sweet Jesus is all that any of us can ask for. Wanted to pop in on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to share a little about what I've been up too. Marty and I enjoyed a weekend at the beach before I had breast cancer surgery and took advantage of the time I had in between so many doctor appointments and testing. It was sure a good little getaway. We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary in September. WOW! Just babies! LOL! We were high school sweethearts. Started dating at age 16. Married at age 18 and started a family at age 20. We celebrated Marty's birthday in October. He says that he's feeling his age these days. LOL! He still works 4 days a week and has a long commu...
Okay, I must admit...I had no intentions on going to another yard sale over the weekend but I tell you the truth when I say that I think I heard the sound of something beckoning me...COME....COME....COME!
Okay, now I am scaring myself! Truth is I just wanted to go to another yard sale (ha!) So, me and two of the grandgirls went a hunting for something good.
And this was the first beauty I came across! A little cleaning and a fresh coat of paint and I think I might just have me a gem!
I NEVER turn down goblets like these. I love them and they are my favorite to use. I just added 3 more to my collection.....
And you all know I love me a cute basket!
Isn't this cute? I actually think I am going to use this as a planter...or maybe in the guest bathroom to hold shampoos, soaps and etc. (Or maybe my flavored teas)
LOVED this little bucket! Think I will re-pot some herbs in it!
And wouldn't you just know that I would spot a set of dishes! In case I have not told you this before...."My name is Cindy and I'm a dishaholic". Who can turn down white dishes, right?
I just had to have them.
Grape leaf and rose pattern by Gibson. I will be on the lookout for this pattern.
These are the two cuties that tagged along with Nana to yard sales. Of course they got to go to McDonald's so it was worth it to them.

And I only spent $10! YEP, $10
Now McDonald's was another story.....Have you seen the price of hamburgers these days?
I'm joining Kathy today for her home and garden Thursday over at http://www.adelightsomelife.com/2015/06/home-and-garden-thursday-102.html#comment-70582
Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Your grandgirls are so precious....and you got some great finds. Love those white dishes. I also spotted a cute little towel in the background! :)
ReplyDeletethanks Deb. YES you did indeed see a cute little towel in the background!
DeleteCindy, where do you store all those dishes? LOL! The girls are adorable!
ReplyDeleteConnie Royals
LOL Connie---the answer is EVERYWHERE! Thanks!
DeleteOkay, so I just don't get the "only spent $10" bit and you come home with all those goodies. The dishes alone should have been that at least!! You done good, milady! I just spent the past two weekends with my own yard sales. I've decided to hook up with friends--much better plan. Each weekend we packed the cars with tent, tables, chairs, and as many boxes of stuff as we could fit. Headed over to the yard sale party (different place each Saturday), set up in an hour and had a blast! Made a little spending money for out trip to see the grand-girl next week--and hubby's 60th this month. I'm selling my 98 piece Farbarware Dorchester dishes set after 20 years and looking for a smaller set with vintage something. I've got bits and pieces of a couple patterns I love, but never had the room to expand. Now, I do! Yay!
ReplyDeleteOn book tour this Saturday--seeking the Lord's blessings in all things--even yard sales. So great to post again and reconnect in Blogland after a hectic couple of months since my book came out. More busy ahead, but praying balance.
Joy!
Kathy
Kathy, I got the dishes for $3. When she said $3 I actually (almost) ran to the car with them! LOL! Glad you made a little money off your stuff Kathy and I know you will enjoy visiting with the grandgirl. Praying God's favor on you friend!
DeleteLordy have mercy! Look at all of your goodies! You did so good and wish I could have come along with you! Your little tag alongs are adorable.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia :)
Yes, I had some good little tag-alongs for sure! Happy Thursday.
DeleteHi Cindy, wow you found some great goodies. Wish I could hunt with you. Love the pic of you and the grands. So special!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, CM
Your clock and bucket are calling my name!! The same thing happened to me today. I was all set to stay home for the day and NOT go to any sales. Then my daughter texted me that there were a ton of sales all in a row nearby. I was there. I didn't get much but what I did is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI know...I love me a good yard sale. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteThose white dishes are going to serve you SO well, Cindy! The clock is gorgeous...but nothing is more gorgeous than your sweet grand girls. Such sweet little ladies. xo
ReplyDeleteThanks Dianna. Grandbabies are always the BEST!
DeleteThose dishes are beautiful, Cindy! I have to admit that I am a minimalist and don't have many things, but I do love sales like this and I so enjoy your posts about them and seeing what you find!!! McDonald's and everything else is so expensive these days, but I am glad you all enjoyed each other's company and you all look happy. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteYour garage sale finds are great and for a great price. The clock is really nice, I love walnut wood. And the wexford goblets, I have a set of those and a matching pitcher, I think they look so elegant. I like that bucket too! Your grandgirls are adorable, pretty just like their grandma! Yay, for McDonald's right?
Have a great weekend and thanks so much for your recent visit to my blog.
Gina
Thanks Gina for popping over to see me. I love wexford pieces too.
DeleteThis is the dearest photo of you and your grandgirls-all three of you are beautiful! You found some treasures and I must say that clock has my heart!
ReplyDeleteWarm Hugs,
Jemma
Awe...thanks Jemma,
DeleteCindy,
ReplyDeleteWOW!! You made out great! Love the dishes and that clock is to die for!
Thanks for dropping by!! The Grands are so precious!!
Hugs,
Deb
Thanks Debbie. I love that clock too! Especially the price.
DeleteCindy, you always find the neatest things! I am in love with that clock. The best thing though is the time spent with those precious little girls, and yes, hamburgers are not the 'cheap' meal anymore.
ReplyDeleteThanks Miss Mary.
DeleteLove the dishes! And that clock! Those little granddaughters of yours are so dainty! They have their nails polished just like you! So cute.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yep, the like their nails painted and their jewelry on! LOL!
DeleteYou found some wonderful treasures, I especially like that bucket and the pretty white dishes. How fun that your granddaughters were able to go along with you.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Betsy!
DeleteWhat great finds, I love the clock and the dishes but the cutest has to be your stunning granddaughters!
ReplyDeleteThanks Josie.
DeleteGreat finds Cindy.
ReplyDeleteLike minds think alike.
I have those glasses, that planter, a similar bucket and white dishes.
Don't ya just love such fun bargains?
Ooh...don't ya just love a good yard sale? Especially a cheap one! LOL!
