Good Sunday afternoon everyone. Well, this has been a week but we've so much to give God praise for and I can't let an opportunity to praise Him pass me by and wanted to share with my blogging friends.
Web imageI just love that song and have found myself singing it a lot this week.
https://youtu.be/iJCV_2H9xD0
If you have the chance to listen to this beautiful song I promise you that you will be in awe of our Waymaker, Promise Keeper, Light of the darkness God.
I get a text from my best friend since 4th grade one night this week sharing this picture. Her husband was walking from his house to their son's house which they live next door only too have a small wooded area between them. It was dark and he had his cell phone for light. He went to take a step and heard the rattling. One more step and he would have stepped on this rattlesnake. Needless to say he was pretty shook up. Can I just say..."Praise the Lord for His hedge of protection". He has not seen a rattlesnake on his property in 39 years. This has surely caused this family to rethink walking back and forth in the dark in a wooded area for sure.
A day later I get a call from my sister who lives about 40 miles from me saying that her husband had severe chest pains and had been rushed to a hospital. He winded up with a double bypass and I am thrilled to say that he is sitting up in bed now and eating. He had some heart problems years ago and he flatlined on the table. Needless to say...God once more had a reason for keeping this man of God here on earth. He has a servant's heart and ministers to so very many, especially the homeless. God is surely a good, good, father.
The very next day I receive a call from my sister that lives about 20 minutes from me saying that her grandson was riding his dirt bike and hit a light poll and has been life flighted to a hospital. He was in and out of consciousness for a while. It was a very frightening time there for a bit but God...God heard the prayers of the saints and choose to answer our prayers. He came home after two days with severe bruises, scrapes and cuts. No broken bones, no internal injuries and no stitches. There were two men that happened to be coming by and rushed to aid my niece, Levi's mom. One man called 911 and the other man stood over Levi and prayed for him. I have the holy bumps as I type this. Our God is surely a miracle worker.
I know this is not my normal "family friendly post" but I often think how quick I am to ask God for something in prayer but I am slow to give Him praise. I want to praise Him for how I have witnessed his hedge of protection over my family and friends this week.
On a lighter note of things..this is the pictures I see on my phone when the granddaughter leaves my house! LOL! I sure needed a laugh and she gave me one. My tomatoes are beginning to come in and at the looks of the vines they are each loaded down with at least 12 or more tomatoes on each plant. I am thrilled as I love a fresh tomato.I've already enjoyed a good grilled chicken salad using one of my tomatoes.
I did end my week with my middle daughter joining me for a little yoga on the mat. That doesn't happen often as she enjoys doing Cross Fit. I was so happy to have her join me.

I hope that you all have a wonderful week and remember...give Him praise for all things.
Hugs and blessings, Cindy
So much to praise God for! Protection is a big one, from snakes, heart attacks, and light poles. Yikes! Then there are the fun things...darling daughters and granddaughters. Have a very good week, Cindy!
ReplyDeleteYes girl! I am still praising Him for the way I saw Him move in each of these situations.
DeleteYou have had a difficult week! But it looks like everyone will recover and that's something to be thankful for. So many people in our lives that mean so much to us. Sometimes it's hard not to worry! Take care!
ReplyDeleteWe always having something to be thankful for for sure.
DeleteIt's a cliche because it's true: life can change in an instant. So glad to hear that your family and friends are doing okay.
ReplyDeleteYour tomatoes would make delicious tomato mayo sandwiches!
Yes girl..in a hot minute everything can change. Oh I love me a mater sandwich with a little mayo. YUM!
DeleteI love to hear praises to Our Lord, Cindy, and you surely lifted yours for all the blessings this week. Those were some scary times with the rattlesnake, the heart issue for your brother in law and the sister’s grandson. I’d say they were miracles! Thank you for sharing the praises. I had a dead battery in my car and had been out and about, but it happened in my garage. I thanked Jesus for letting me be at home and not stranded somewhere. I felt so blessed.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week, Cindy! 🙏🏻🥰🙏🏻
So glad your battery did not go dead and leave you stranded too! Whew! Especially in this heat. Praise the Lord for all things.
DeleteI love that praise song! Our church sings it frequently. So good to read your praise reports! You've had a busy prayer week. That rattler is scary. I remember as a child in New Mexico being warned about rattlers. Have a blessed week.
ReplyDeleteI too love that song Melanie.

ReplyDeleteHope that you are feeling much better Pam. Thanks for stopping by.

ReplyDeleteThank you Kris.
DeleteOh, praise God for all His abundant blessings! I can't help but think of Psalm 103 as I ponder your post. He is an awesome God who is surely still in the miracle-working business, and yes! He is the Waymaker! Praise His holy name! Thank you for sharing all this, so we can give Him glory along with you. Sending much love to you this morning, dear friend.
ReplyDeleteYes I am praising Him. He surely is a miracle worker.
DeleteWe have an awesome God for sure. Your tomatoes are doing well. I can' wait for mine to produce! Nancy
ReplyDeleteWow! You must not want to answer the phone lately!! I'm glad everyone is doing ok now and that you have some fun things to keep you laughing too. Yoga with your daughter sounds so fun!! I miss going to in-person classes!! I hope you're off to a great week. Your tomatoes look so good. Mine are just starting to flower.
ReplyDeleteGirl...it's been crazy around my parts of the woods.
DeleteIn spite of the hard stories you've shared here, it is sooooo good to be reminded of God's goodness in our lives and the lives of others. Very refreshing. Thank you for sharing. I am glad to see all these stories are turning out well. But with that said, I am learning through my own experiences that even when the story does not turn out to our liking, we are to trust that the Lord has a much better plan in mind and we just need to trust Him NO MATTER WHAT. Eventually it will all become clear to us and we will be incredibly thankful He was in charge and not our wishes.
ReplyDeleteTRUST is the key word and some days just gonna be honest, I struggle because I have the tendency to think I can fix something on my own. Learning every day that I must trust an unknown future to a known God.
DeleteOh my gosh so much happening and going on. So happy that they side stepped the snake and also that your BIL is doing well. Scary thing to go through. You look as young as your daughter.
ReplyDeleteYou and your family surely had a trying week but God was with you all every step! I'm so glad everyone is on the road to recovery! Hoping you've had a less eventful week this week. Blessings, Zenda
