Wednesday in the Word and a {Surprise for me!}

As I was sorting through some books recently to participate in a book and magazine swap with some friends a piece of paper fell out of one of the books. I began to read it and thought...this is how I truly feel. His grace, mercy and love is what covers me and that is it!

I am a Christian
When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not shouting, "I'm clean living". I'm whispering "I was lost", Now I'm found and I'm forgiven.
When I say..."I am a Christian" I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need CHRIST to be my guide.
When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need HIS strength to carry on.
When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not bragging on success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.
When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible but, God believes I am worth it.
When I say..."I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches so I call upon His Name.
When I say...I'm a Christian" I'm not holier than thou. I'm just a simple sinner who received God's grace...
somehow.

I hope that you have been blessed by this little poem that I found that I had stuck in an old book...a great reminder to me once again of God's Ultimate Grace!

And I must share...I was so surprised to find out that I was featured on Linda's "show and share" over at Coastal Charm.Here is the link and here was the feature! http://linda-coastalcharm.blogspot.com/2015/06/show-and-share-no268.html

Happy 4th of July!

    1. Deb, I am not sure who wrote it to be honest but so timely that I found it! Especially with so many media and people that love to point out that we as Christians think we are perfect! Don't even get me started on that one! Yes, I was surprised that my 4th of July simple tablescape was featured but happy! LOL! Happy 4th my friend!
