I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month. Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now! Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said! I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style. The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters. Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo
Aren't my window plants (as my man calls them) just pretty ? I have two of these window plants on my She-Shed outside and they have thrived all summer despite the heat.
My Morning Glory has taken off growing too. A dear friend of mine and co/bible study leader gave out flower seeds one night in Bible Study and mine was Morning Glory. As soon as my Morning Glory was big enough to take out of the pot I planted it in the ground and I cannot wait for it to bloom.
My sister Mary gave me a new sign for my little office at home. I love it. Funny thing was the day she gave it to me I had just had the opportunity to share with someone the power of prayer and how I had seen first hand God answer prayer on behalf of myself, my children, grandchildren and our church. Then my sister winds up at Walmart and gets into a deep conversation with a lady on the power of prayer. Ain't God just good?
Yep, I think I like right it there.
I had a fun day with these three girls. We went shopping and out to eat and to the hair salon. That baby hasn't had a hair cut yet. I know there will come a time when she will need some trimming but for now, she is happy just sitting in the little car that the little kids get to sit in when they get a hair cut.
She's too busy eating chocolate chip cookies to get a hair cut. LOL!
My oldest two grands are just growing up too fast for me. Can't believe I have a teenage grandgirl. My grandson is getting ready to play another season of football. Fun times ahead.
I snapped a few pictures of these two grand girls while at the beach. Needless to say I've had a hard time picking my favorite.
Sorry for the picture overload of the girls but dang, too many good ones not to share, right?
Well ONE MORE....
Well, this is another chapter in my life my friends. I hope you all have a great week. I do have a question for you today though. What is it that you are desperate for God to do in your life right now? He is only a prayer away.
Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Cindy, your window boxes are blooming beautifully! The grands are so beautiful and handsome and aren't they the biggest blessing! Our God is so good! I want to know Him more in the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings! Blessings~
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam . Yes they are a blessings . You just blessed me so Osm with your last paragraph . That's one of those wow moments .
DeleteThose flowers sure are pretty! I miss my morning glories. I have to remember to plant them next year. They are always such a nice pop of color near the end of summer. I would have a hard time picking a favorite of those two cuties too. They are all great shots!! Must have been a fun day with the girls shopping and getting hair cuts!
ReplyDeleteThanks Heather . We did have a great time . I'm hoping the morning glories will bloom before winter . But in Florida we have heat a long time . Lol .
DeleteI loved seeing all your fun pics, Cindy! Those kids sure are growing, aren't they? God knows my deepest prayer request. It's always on my mind and heart.
ReplyDeleteThank you kitty . And yes seeet friend , God knows the cry of your heart 🙏🏻
DeleteLove all the pictures and I must say Cindy, those beach pictures are awesome. Your sign is so cute. Well, I have several things I am desperate for God to do Cindy and you know my heart's request. I am counting on Him to answer in His time. God has taught me patience and believe me when I say, That has been a hard lesson for me.
ReplyDeleteConnie Royals
Thsnks Connie . Patience is hard no doubt . I seem to battle more with it as I age !😬 God knows your heart my friend and the way He answers our prayers is in His time . ❤️
DeleteBeautiful girls! Loving the flower boxes on the SHE SHED! Nice....
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam .
DeleteYou, my sweet friend, could never have too many pictures of your beautiful grandchildren posted here! They are all so so cute! Does your grandson mind being the only guy in the bunch when you all get together?
ReplyDeleteWhat am I desperate for God to do for me today? It is a long story, of which He has heard many times, but it involves my dear mama's health.
Love you, Girlfriend!
Dianna, I don't think it bothers my grandson as much as it does me for me at times . But only because I never want h to feel left out . He knows he has our families heart for sure ❤️ Awe, I will pray for your mama right now too . Thanks for stopping by dear friend .
DeleteYour family is beautiful! I love your photos. Your flowers are so pretty and the new prayer sign is perfect! What a fun post.
ReplyDelete~Adrienne~
Thanks Adrienne. I hope you are having fun....
DeleteRight now I need prayers in reference to my living situation, as I have to move. Not sure if you saw my post or not about this, Cindy, but I would very much appreciate your prayers. Your photos are absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda. I am hopping over in a bit to catch up with you.
DeleteThank you so much, dear friend. And your blog is a blessing, and your friendship means so much to me. I love your choice of background colour and your posts are always inspiring and thought-provoking. Thank you so much.
DeletePraying for you . God's got this !
DeleteCindy he is only a prayer away. All I ever want is for my loved ones to be safe and well. That is all I ever ask for. Everything else can come with hard work on our part. Stay happy and keep on inspiring us with all your fantastic photos of your grand kids. The two girls at the beach are just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary.
DeleteI just love your photos, very happy family, smiles.---patience is not one of my virtues, so I would say that. Sadly, lack of patience...smiles
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda. Patience is hard....PERIOD! LOL!
DeleteI could look at your photos all day! What a talent and those models are too cute! I'm facing a mountain and God told me He will always be with me as I climb it and give me the strength each day to get to the top. I believe He is doing more than just a physical healing in me but a work of wholeness too; I'm on a journey with Him. Full knee replacement surgery on 8/25. Appreciate prayer! Hugs and blessings to you.
ReplyDeletePraying for you sweet Mary. Praying your knee replacement goes well my friend and that your heal quickly and totally.
DeleteOh Cindy, I have enjoyed these glimpses of your life. The photos of your grands are fabulous...it's so nice to have a built-in photographer in the family! I know what you mean about the grands getting so big...my two oldest are 18 and 16 already! I love, love, love that little sign about prayer and it looks perfect of your desk...in your "unfinished" room...LOL! Actually, I am really looking forward to seeing it! And Morning Glory is one my faves...look back on my blog when you get time and click on the Morning Glory label. :) Hugs!
ReplyDeleteLOL Debby! I gotta finish that room now! Headed back to see your Morning Glory.
DeleteOh, I loved seeing the pictures! They are just precious...and the one at the end is just so perfect. They will cherish that throughout life...the best of friends. :) Oh, my, what am I desperate for God to do right now? Several things...intercessory prayer is a big part of my days. He is ever faithful, and I often hear my dear Mom's words, "Cheryl, God has His own timetable. You can't rush God." Sometimes what I am desperate for, He sees as something that is not so urgent, and I have to submit my demands for speed to His wisdom and come to understand that He absolutely does know what is best. Sitting in the waiting room as He works is very frustrating to me, and I often struggle with the temptation to hurry things along. I am learning...as Paul, to be content. Thank you for making me think today! Love you, sweet friend. :)
ReplyDeleteCheryl, thank you so much for your sweet words. Oh my friend, am I learning that we can't rush God. I often want to run ahead of Him but I have truly been learning the WAIT ON ME, MY TIMING IS PERFECT!
DeleteHi! Visiting you from another blog that you made a comment on. Yes, your window flowers are pretty and what lovely family you have. Our daughter took a picture similar to yours of our two granddaughters looking out over Lake Michigan. I like the saying you put with it. Nancy
ReplyDeleteThank you Nancy for visiting. So nice to meet you.
DeleteFavorite picture of the girls, the last one with both looking at the water, while holding each other!
ReplyDeleteBut you are right, they are all great.
Sure can tell your oldest is with her brother! Same eyes and smile. Love the smiles!!
Answer: He is answering them BECAUSE I have talked and talked and talked with Him!
God is good!
Thanks Christiine . Yes those oldest two do look indeed like brother-sister . Hope you ha e a great weekend .
DeleteCindy,
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful post about your family and life in general!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Hugs,
Debbie
Thanks Debbie . I need one of your sea shell ornaments . You outdone yourself on those .
DeleteDear Cindy! I just had to stop back over and visit you to tell you how deeply you touched my heart. Sometimes, we can become so "weary in well doing", we can feel like nothing we are striving to do for God really matters or is being a blessing to others. A while back, I had mentioned in two separate posts something God gave to me, and you must have read it, because you mentioned it in your comment on my blog...oh, I cannot tell you how much that encouraged my heart! It was this, "When we don't understand His logic, we must trust His wisdom". It touched me so much that you read it, that it stuck with you, and then you repeated it back to me when I needed to be reminded. See how the Holy Spirit works? Iron sharpens iron...I am just in awe of HIM and His amazing orchestration of our lives. Through YOU and your precious obedience to do what He asks you to do, He has lifted me this morning. He has let me know that our labors are NOT in vain in the Lord. That someone, somewhere is being touched and blessed by our obedience, and they will turn around and pass on that blessing to others...sometimes even back to us, when we need it most. THANK YOU, sweet friend. Love and appreciate you so much!
ReplyDeleteCheryl, your quote sits on my desktop at my office and is always in my heart. The Holy Spirit knows just what we need when we need it dear friend. He has proved that to me time and time again.
DeleteLove your window boxes, it must be nice to see the lovely flowers from your room. Of course, I never get tired of the wonderful pictures you take of your grandkids!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Mary . Hope you are doing well .
DeleteOh, mercy....where to start. You certainly must have a green thumb. Your flowers look great, especially with the Florida heat. And, I can see why you couldn't choose which pics to post...they're all so good. Another talent of yours....photography! As for the question....I've shared that one with you. I'm praying Ezekiel 11:19. <3 you, Friend!
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb. And my friend, I have been praying for you. God's got this!
DeleteI opened your blog today, perhaps a day too late. I have been struggling emotionally the last couple of days, but awoke this morning with a fresh outlook and new attitude. Prayer and good thoughts from others have brought me a sunnier day today. Now, your beautiful photos and flowers!! My grands are just two and three and I already think they are growing up too, too fast! I can't imagine them being teenagers! HUGS and prayers!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you came by Chloe . I pray you are feeling much better . For me, I often find that my attitude about everything affects my outlook on things . So glad you are having a sunnier day . God is good . I bet your two little grands bring you so much joy . Happy day Chloe.
DeleteLove all the pics of the grandkids. You are so blessed to have them close by. They are growing up fast!
ReplyDeleteYour morning glory will be pretty so I look forward to a pic when it blooms.
Love your prayer sign. I am in constant prayer. It is my lifeline. Thanks for your sweet spirit that encourages and lifts our hearts.
Thanks Bonnie . So glad you came by .
DeleteYour grands are adorable. I love Morning Glory. I used to have some by my gate. The window boxes are a great addition.
ReplyDeleteLove this post! Great sign to remind us all to pray all the time! LOVE the pics of your grand kids and those beach ones should be in a magazine. What a sweet bond those girls have. I desperately want the Lord to make Himself real to my two daughters. They both are struggling in their marriages and finances and need Him so much. It is out of my hands so maybe someone else can step in?! I know that I need to pray!!
ReplyDeleteAwe thanks Ann Marie. Only God can heal, mend and fix. I love the saying, "God can turn a mess into a message".
DeleteHi Cindy, what a wonderful post sharing the power of prayer. Yes, I know too well how praying just makes everything better. Even when we wait for the answers on God's time, praying is that constant conversation that leads us. I am always in pray as I go about my day.
ReplyDeleteLove the sign in your office room. How wonderful your morning glories have grown. I tried them this year and they just didn't take hold. I try again next spring. Your grandchildren are all adorable and you can see the love in their eyes. Sweet blessings all.
Thank you for sharing your heart and sweet spirit. You are a blessing my friend. xo
Thank you my friend for coming by to see me. Yes, the power of prayer is great. There has been times in my life that I wondered how He would answer but I never have doubted that He wouldn't answer. His answer may not have been wanted I wanted but knowing that He never makes a mistake was all that I needed.
DeleteYour grandbabies are beautiful! I love the sign your sister gave you. I have one that says "A Family That Prays Together, Stays Together". I don't know if I am desperately desiring this, but I do desire for my sons to find Christian helpmates. Neither are dating and both are almost ready for a helpmate. My husband and I (as well as their grandparents) have been praying earnestly for the Lord to send fine, Christian women to them in HIS timing. So I guess I need to pray for patience too! Thank you for a beautiful post!
ReplyDeleteBlessings from Lynda at Still Woods Farmhouse
So glad you dropped by Lynda. Oh I know your heart desire concerning your children. We always want the best for our kids but when It's God's best it can't be beat. And it doesn't stop with the kids, then the grands start coming along. A pastor friend of mine said recently that a parent prays till they die. SO VERY TRUE! His timing is always perfect though I too have had to try to learn the WORD Patient! I am constantly reminded here lately that it's all in God's timing and not mine.
DeleteIf I had my choice between a chocolate chip cookie that looked like that one and a haircut, I'd take the cookie, too. Your photos are amazing. Beautiful children. We have a blended family and some of our kids don't know the Lord at all. That they will draw near to Him is a constant pray of ours.
ReplyDeleteYep, that chocolate cookie made her day. That little one loves her a cookie. Thank you for your sweet compliment on the pictures of my grands. Oh my friend, I pray right now with you that your children that do not know Jesus will come to know Him soon and very soon. Before my first grandchild was ever conceived I remember vividly praying that my grandbabies would all come to know Jesus at an early age and that they would follow His footsteps and love Him with all of their hearts, soul and minds. God hears our prayers and nothing better to hit the throne than a mama's prayer or a nana's prayer.
DeleteYour pictures are fabulous, Cindy, and your grandkids are such darlings!....Christine
ReplyDeleteThank you Christine.
DeleteI love the glimpses into your life Cindy! Your grandkids pictures are all so adorable! I remember the first days of school, and how sad it was for me to see them back off to the schoolhouse after a summer of fun. The pictures of your grandgirls on the beach is beyond adorable! The light! I love the lighting, the time of day you chose, their expressions, and the beautiful joy exuding from their hearts to their faces. You are blessed with that talent, dear friend!
ReplyDeleteAnd of course - prayer, oh my, how wonderful it is to have the conversation with the Lord, and know that we can just leave it there with Him. So many times I have prayed, thinking through every possible answer I could come up with, and then His answer came, so unlike and far from my own, and how thankful I was that His answer was what I got, and not mine! Many, many times over that has happened, so now, I always pray, Lord, your will be done, in all things.
Like King David, we can cry out to the Lord with our problems, but every Psalm of David's ended in praise.. while it may have started out in anguish of heart and soul, he ended in praise... and that right there is our answer, every time! I have found it to be so true. When I carry my burden to HIM, let Him know about it, then lift my eyes and heart to Him, believing and praising... there is a change that takes place in my heart that may not change the circumstance, but changes me... and I can leave that place of prayer knowing HE heard, He cares, and HE will answer, in His time.
Sorry that got so long! But I just wanted to share that with you. Praying, and believing the Lord in all things, for our children, for this country, and for those who don't know our precious Lord... love and hugs to you dear friend!
Marilyn, I enjoy your visits so much . Loved what you said about king David . So glad you came by .❤️
