{Hello friends}

  Hoping this finds my sister bloggers doing well on this windy Sunday afternoon. Yep, we've got a little wind howling around here and a tad cool but I am enjoying a lazy afternoon. My Sunday lunch crowd (my family) have left for the day so I am kicked back. Sunday menu today consisted of: Chicken and dressing Giblet gravy Italian green beans with ham Mac & Cheese Homemade chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting and chocolate ganache.  Yep, they are little spoiled at Nana's house. I am not a huge fan of cakes with icing but it must have been good as one of the grands had two slices.  These gals and I have been friends for more years than I remember and since we've all retired within a few months apart in retirement and age (dating back to 4th grade in school) we try to get together once every 4-6 weeks. {It's The Most Wonderful Time of The Year}

Can you believe Christmas is almost here! I was a little late this Christmas season decorating for Christmas. But it might have been a good thing because as I was bringing out the Christmas stash I found dishes I had bought last year after Christmas on sale and FORGOT I HAD THEM !!!! I felt like someone had just given me a Christmas present and I was thrilled that it was dishes! Remember.... My name is Cindy and I am a dishaholic! They went perfectly with my kitchen and dining room theme I wanted to achieve for Christmas this year. Simplicity took over at my house for Christmas with the decorating this season. Lack of time and energy seemed to be my excuse. Recently a friend of mine said she thought her new WORD for 2016 might be simple and I grabbed a hold of that for the rest of my 2015 year! I thought, "Okay, I can kill myself trying to make it all look stunning and brilliant or I can simplify and actually enjoy the holidays. I chose to ENJOY !  I love my Chr...

{Mad Hatter Tea Party}

Our ladies team at my church just hosted a Mad Hatter Tea Party and we had so much fun that I have to share with you some pictures! We had singing, laughter, a wonderful message and our decorating was OVER THE TOP I must say! We have some gifted, talented and artistic women among us! We based our Mad Hatter theme on this verse. I think it was perfect since sweet little Alice in Wonderland had no clue what direction she was going in as she falling don't you?  Why we even had our own Alice in Wonderland. We had so many decorations that I wish I could show you them all but here's a few.... One of our talented ladies created our place mats for the tables....too cute! Another talented lady made the scrolls that had our Bible verse on it and each had a key tied onto it.  A few more decorative pieces... And just look at our tree...isn't she lovely? Some of us dressed the part and it was so much fun! ...
