Today I want to share this piece from Comfy Kitchen Blog. This really blessed my heart. Our church had an event recently called, "The Anchor Holds" and the whole purpose was for our ladies to realize that Jesus is Our Hope. That women do need other women to come alongside of us and pray for us and with us. And last but not least that we need to be REAL and quit wearing a mask! It seems that in this fallen world in which we live we experience daily sadness, weariness, tired and aching hearts. Sometimes it is from the news that surrounds us whether it be national or personally related. We become so tired and our hearts become heavy . Sometimes our hea r t is simply heavy from questions that have not been answered. Other times our worries just will not se em to leave. Then the duties and responsibilities that seem to have no end in site begin s to take a toil on us. The good news is that Je sus Christ will give us rest! He says in His Word, "C ome to me, all who are weary and heavy burdened and I will give you rest ". I don't know about you but I tend to become impatient when waiting....regardless of what it is that I am waiting on. I have really been trying to do better and even to try to see the God opportunities that is before me during the waiting period. For instance just recently I was in standing in line at the local Wal-mart with two things in my hand. All lines was packed (you would have thought it was Christmas time) and here I stand with two items. A diet coke and a bottle of Tylenol! The lady in front of me had at least 50 items in her buggy (though she was standing the 20 items or less line) and had even turned around and smiled at me seeing I only had two items. One would have thought she would have offered to let me go ahead of her right? NOPE! I can assure you that before I got checked out there was a battle raging in my mind that wasn't pretty and I had popped a few Tylenol with a swig of my diet coke! I must confess that I was not looking for God opportunities. I know that...

Ruth 1:16 (NIV)  I have wat ched the Titanic movie several times as I am sure you have too. I have a lso read several stories on the Titanic with interesting facts. I read an interesting story about a lady that was on the Titanic named Ida Strauss. She and her husband had been married for many years . Story has it that as the ship was sin king I da's husband of many yea rs led her to safety upon one of the life boats. As she gazed up at her husband of many years she knew she could not leave hi m. She got off of the life boat and allowed her maid to have her spot. Ida then stepped out of the life boat and took her husband 's hand and very gently said , "We've been together for many years and where you go I will go". Together, they went down in the Titanic. Why do we put limits on what God can do through us? As I was watching the episode of the Bible last night I could not shake the thoughts of how Moses allowed God to use Him in such profound ways. I know the story...I've read it, studied it and hace taught it. But it became alive all of a sudden.  WHY? Because Moses was obedient and had faith that the God He served was real and that He would supply for whatever needs that Moses had. All Moses had to do was TRUST HIM. Moses also knew by the past faithfulness of God that He would not let him down. God's faithfulness is tried and true for us...so why do we doubt? With me it seems that I start out good with having "Faith" that Christ will supply what is needed to bring Glory to Him. The next thing I know I've allowed Satan to sneak in and place doubts in my mind. Sometimes even well meaning Christians can be a hinderance to our faith if we are not soley standing on His promises. I read a true story once about a motorcycle policeman that saw a red pickup truck speed through a stop sign. He turned on his lights and managed to get the man to pull over. As the policeman was walking up to the drivers window the man driving is saying to himself, " The cop already knows what I have done". The man reached for his gun that he had just used to rob a store.The officer said, "Good morning sir, may I see your......" He never finished his sentence. The driver fired his gun just inches from the officer's chest knocking him seven feet away. Seconds later, the criminal was shocked to see the officer stand up and pull his revolver. The driver shouted, "Don't shoot" as he tossed his weapon and stolen money out of the window. What saved the officer's life?
