{May Has Arrived}

  I sure hope that your May has kicked off to a good start. The heat is settling in quick around our parts.  We've kicked off May with watching our softball girls win the District. Next week we start another round of ball. It's so much fun to watch these girls and especially our girl, Mallory. She plays centerfield.  We were so proud of both teams that played against each other. They all, hand in hand gathered together as one of our girls prayed for the game and also for one of our young men that was in a horrific car accident and fighting. His name is Kaden if you can think to lift him up to our Lord.  I had the opportunity recently to speak to a group of women at a ladies luncheon event at a local church. Oh we had so much fun. I wished I had gotten pictures of the beautiful decorations. We had a TEA PARTY and we each kept the cup that we drank out of it.  Isn't she just lovely? Easter has come and gone but we sure have a great time with family. We gather each...

Our {WORDS} can bring Life and bring Death to the Soul!

With our children and grandchildren getting back to school regardless of whether they are in the public school system, home school or private school we need to pray for the children, parents, teachers and all that is involved with our precious cargo. Prayer is a must and I believe with all my heart that prayer is our life line straight to the throne of God. And...we need to pray for our words! There seems to be such a controversy between sending your child to public school versus teaching them at home. Private schools has also been added to that list of "Let's talk about them too" because they think they are better than us! .  Here's the thing and I will cut straight to the chase. Why are WE AS CHRISTIANS constantly "downing" and "badmouthing" the decision made by other parents about their choice of method when it comes to schooling? And please keep in mind that I am talking to Christians today . All parents have a respon...

{Family} Where Life Begins and Love Never Ends

I have missed my blogging friends but I sure have enjoyed some time away at the beach with my family. I love the saying that says.... Families are like fudge...mostly sweet with a lot of nuts! Well needless to say we have a whole lot of sweetness in my family but we have a lot of NUTS and there is never is a dull moment when my crew is together! (I wouldn't have it any other way)  Of course I must say that the {cream of the crop} has got to be my grandbabies. I cannot imagine what my life would be without them. These three girls of mine keeps this mama straight and most days I need for them to keep me straight! My oldest daughter, soninlove and their beautiful family. My middle daughter, soninlove and their beautiful family. And last but not least my youngest daughter and soninlove. They will be celebrating their 1st wedding anniversary in November. These two are my oldest two grandchildren and that little man right there is my only grandson (rig...

{Radical Obedience}

I hear sermons on the word obedience. I've taught on being obedient. I've read scripture on being obedient and I've battled more times than I care to admit with being obedient. But not to often do I hear the term "Radical Obedience" being used. It seems recently that everything I have picked up to read has used the term "Radical" . A Radical love for Christ, Radical obedience, Radical step of faith, and so on.... So I began to study a little bit about the words Radical Obedience and what it means for the Christian and here is what I came up with. Radical obedience is obeying God when it doesn't make sense. It is doing God's will when our own agenda makes more sense. Radical obedience is not only asking "What Would Jesus Do" but DOING what Jesus did. Radical obedience is heeding the call of God when, by all appearances, it's out of the question. Radical obedience is not compromising even if it means losing friends or f...

{Waiting on the Lord}

 Web Image Well, I don't know about you but sometimes I find "waiting" hard to do. When I wanted something that usually meant I really wanted it last week! How about you? Do you find yourself becoming impatient when waiting on something?  Waiting is our biggest battle .  We wait at the red light for what seems to takes 30 minutes to turn green. We wait in line at the grocery store with a buggy loaded down along with 20 others only to see that two lines are open for business. We wait for something we've ordered to come in through the mail that has been on back order and well..the waiting can try our patience.  Then there's other "waiting" periods in our life too. The ones that seem to be of a more serious nature.  We wait for healing and it doesn’t happen.  We wait for financial provision and still struggle to make ends meet. We wait for a new position on our job to become available and yet two years later we find we are still waiting. We w...

{Who wants to go to the BEACH?}

Well, I will be going to the beach with my family in a few weeks and the grandbabies are counting down the days for sure. In the meantime I will just enjoy a simple "Beach" tablescape at home and think about the beach. Aren't these plates from Walmart just adorable? Love the colors.Added my bamboo table runner with bamboo silverware and liked how it looked with the beach theme.  I had a few of those cute little fish bowls I had used for something else so grabbed them up.  I didn't have enough fish net to put on them and my box I used for my centerpiece but some Burlap ribbon saved the day with a few painted seashells left over from our beach trip last year. I also had a couple of nice larger shells from St. Augustine Beach so painted them as well to use. A little colored water and some sea shells and well, it worked for me!  Cute little salt and pepper shakers. I was pleased with my little wooden box I had purchased while in Jesup, Ga. Mo...

{When Life's Interruptions Becomes God's Divine Appointment)

I was sitting in a comfy seat with a cute little pink robe on drinking my hot Lemon Raspberry Tea while looking at a magazine and I felt it. THE NUDGE!     Has someone ever NUDGED you ? Especially when you are minding your own business, not bothering anyone else and truthfully...do not want to be bothered but all of a sudden you felt the nudge.  Web Image I was waiting my turn to be called in to do the Annual Mammogram. What every woman loves to do right? And for me it's an every 6 month thing so needless to say I know the ropes! Been doing it for so long now that one of the receptionist that has been there for at least the past 13 years that I have been going asked me how my FOUR grandchildren was doing and if I had any more on the way! (her memory is good is all I know)   I know my choices of colors for my little robe gown is white or pink. (I always choose pink) I know that I have a choice of decaf or regular coffee or I can pick from an a...
