{May Blessings Photo Dump}

June has crept upon us it seems. Y'all, it's six months until Christmas! LOL!  Wanted to share a few of my May blessings.  We have been blessed with fresh potatoes. We've been able to share some with others and still have plenty. My cucumbers, okra and orange tree was destroyed in the tornado that we took a hit from but what a blessing that we pulled the potatoes before the tornado.  Speaking of tornado it's been a job cleaning up the aftermath. God spared our home and us as we were home. Marty and I heard the sound of the tornado and retrieved to our bathtub for safety. The affects surely done a number on our barn, my shed, a pull trailer and oh our property was in a mess. Huge OLD trees gone! Such a mess but we are beginning to see the light at the end of tunnel with the cleanup. We have been so blessed with our children and friends that have come to help us. {Sweet Summertime}

 Well friends, it seems that I cannot catch up with blogging as of late. Summer time is filled to the brim with all sorts of things but I am here today. Hope you all are doing well and enjoying summer. I am already wishing for cooler temps to be honest. But, praise the Lord for air conditioning right?


I saw this on FB and couldn't help but chuckle. I love reading church signs.



Marty and made a little trip to our hunting camp and took a little ride through those old Georgia pines. It will be whitetail deer season before long. I can't wait!



We stopped by the local Farmer's Market and shopped around a bit. I must say, their produce is much cheaper than the grocery stores are.


It was a nice little outing for us. We spent the night and just enjoyed being out in God's beautiful creation.


My Succulents are thriving even in this heat! I need to pull out the weeds from them but too hot to stay outside long.


I snapped this picture of my granddaughter Kyleigh in church. It just melted my heart. The Praise team was singing and she was so moved by our Lord that she simply and quietly begin to praise Him. Oh what this does for a Nana's heart!

This is such a phrase worth reading. This was shared by a friend in my Bible study group and oh how fitting this day and time where it seems that most are living the human trinity. 

I hope that your week has started out good and that you are truly enjoying your summer. I will close with this today as I find this to be so very true.

    Oh, Cindy, I so loved your photos here and catching up with how your summer is going. Before you even told us where you were, I knew I was looking at south Georgia by the pines. :) And yes, farmers' markets are by far the best! Like you, I'll be glad when this heat goes away, though.

    Hi Cindy!! The picture of Kyleigh touched my heart, so precious. I love to shop at a farmers market, we just don't have any here. If we take a road trip out of crowded, citified Harris County we usually find one, or two!! Staying cool is hard to do unless you stay inside which is just what I'm doing. Yep, Thank You Lord for a/c. ((hugs))

    Just looking at all the wonderful colourful vegetables at the Farmers Market makes a person smile. So does that church sign. LOL

    I loved this so much, and especially the picture of Kyleigh. That really blessed my heart for sure. Wow. I loved all of the above pictures and quotes and your stories. Thank you for sharing. Those GA. pine trees look a lot like the ones around here...they just keep growing and growing and growing! LOL. Take care my friend and try to stay cool. Fall will be here soon...i hope.

    Your succulents look great, Cindy! I got a couple from a church sale back in May and they did not survive. Forgot to water them. Whoops!

      It seems that my succulents doesn't require a whole lot of water and with lack of rain here guess that's a good thing. But they sure do multiply.

Hiding the Ugly Hot Water Heater

 I shared that I wanted to hide my ugly hot water heater in my laundry room with you a few weeks ago. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. But after all it is a hot water heater right? So my man took a piece of wood (not real wood) but it worked and built a frame for me. So now to see if it would fit and it did. I painted it white and did not like the texture it had even after two coats of white. (rule of thumb...you get what you pay for and the wood was cheap) But I wasn't going to let it whip me!  Found some contact paper at Walmart in the gray and white. Covered the front with the contact paper and loved the look. The top was covered with a piece of painted wood as well and worked perfect to place this on top... And this.... {SON-Flowers}

Don't you just love sunflowers? When I think about sunflowers I think of two things. My motherinlove who loved sunflowers and Fall. I came across a devotional written by Julia Bettencourt on sunflowers and thought it so appropriate for today as I wanted to share my sunflowers with you. Here's a few lessons we can learn from the sunflower.    Sunflowers Track The Sun.   Most plants are attracted to light but the flowering head of the sunflower actually tracks the sun following it's path and moving toward where it is in the sky all during the day. I read somewhere that sunflowers track the sun when they are in bud stage. Isn't that how it usually goes for us as Christians? {Happy 46th Wedding Anniversary To Us}

  Happy October everyone! I wanted to pop in today and share a few pictures. Marty and I celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary on September 23.  Oh it seems so long ago that we said "I Do". We started dating when I was 16. Married at 18 and began a family at 20. Needless to say we have surely grown up together. Praise the Lord that we are growing "Older" together.  We decided since it had been about 8-9 years since we had been to Savannah, Ga. that we would take a weekend there and just enjoy a scenic luncheon cruise.  We enjoyed walking River street and sightseeing, shopping and eating of course! It was a nice get away and perfect for us as we are simply two imperfect people that fit perfectly together.  I did spot Santa while in Savannah though! YES, I love Christmas so I had to stop at several Christmas shops! We've had outings that have kept us quite busy and we have surely been blessed to be able to attend our grands functions and our little outings toget
