February days are now gone and March has officially kicked in. I finally purchased a new monthly focus board. We ventured out for a day date which included a movie. I love our day dates. I will give my honest review about the movie for those interested. I wanted to see this movie as it was based on a true story. I did enjoy the movie but oh my, it was a tear jerker from the get go! It ended good but mercy! Let's just say that I am thankful that no one was sitting close enough to see my tear stained face. I am glad that I saw it but I am good for a while on sad movies, even if they do end good! My oldest daughter, her husband and their son participated in the Spartan race which is a series of obstacle courses that challenge. They done so well. As you can see from the pictures it gets pretty muddy! My three daughters participate each year in the Gate River Run. I love it that they do this together. They have so much support & encouragement from all the onlookers. I am just
I don't know about you but I love me some Max Lucado. There isn't a book I have of his that I have not enjoyed. Some of his books I've enjoyed MANY times over and one of those books is "SIX HOURS ONE FRIDAY".
I am so grateful that He chose to go to the Cross for me! A mere sinner saved by grace....
With Easter approaching and Good Friday just days away how can we not think of those SIX HOURS?
The CROSS....Do we realize what Jesus done for us on the Cross? Oh how we tend to forget at times.
Max Lucado reminds us in his book that if we aren't teaching the Cross then somehow we have forgotten that we need it! If we're not teaching people how to be saved then perhaps we have forgotten the tragedy of being lost. If we're not teaching the message of forgiveness we must have forgotten what it was like to be guilty.
How quickly we forget what the Cross meant for us!
The cross means that you and I must acknowledge our desperate need for God. Without Him we are nothing.
The cross means Christ's death has made it possible for us to be reconnected to God.
The cross means if we ask forgiveness for our sins and receive Christ into our lives we will be saved.
When we begin to forget what Jesus done for us and made possible for us lets stop for just a minute...lets close our eyes and see ourselves standing before HIM.
Think...really think....see the Christ! Run your fingers over His nail scared feet. Place your hand in His pierced side. Look up now...into His eyes...Those are the same eyes that melted the gates of hell and sent the demons and Satan running.
Look into His eyes...YOU WILL NEVER BE THE SAME!
I am so grateful that He chose to go to the Cross for me! A mere sinner saved by grace....
In those SIX HOURS ONE FRIDAY a lot happened!
Praying you all have a wonderful Good Friday and a very Blessed Easter.
Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Your blog has brought me to tears this morning. I am so thankful that he went to the Cross for me also. Most of the time I feel like I fall short, that I'm not doing enough, not able to get the Word out correctly...Thank God for his mercies; for His Son. I also love Max Lucado's writings. He just makes you want to have a heart like that all the time. Thank you for this message.

ReplyDeleteCindy, Is that ever true!!! We need to tell others the message. The field is white unto harvest, but the workers are few. I pray that I may be a bold witness and that Christ will use me. Thanks for a wonderful post, Cindy, and Happy Easter.
