Hoping this finds my sister bloggers doing well on this windy Sunday afternoon. Yep, we've got a little wind howling around here and a tad cool but I am enjoying a lazy afternoon. My Sunday lunch crowd (my family) have left for the day so I am kicked back. Sunday menu today consisted of: Chicken and dressing Giblet gravy Italian green beans with ham Mac & Cheese Homemade chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting and chocolate ganache. Yep, they are little spoiled at Nana's house. I am not a huge fan of cakes with icing but it must have been good as one of the grands had two slices. These gals and I have been friends for more years than I remember and since we've all retired within a few months apart in retirement and age (dating back to 4th grade in school) we try to get together once every 4-6 weeks. Our Lord knows everything about us. He knows our goings and our comings. He knows our hearts. He knows our needs and He loves us so much. Read these words and when you do...read them slow and soak it in.
O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You understand my thoughts afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down. And are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold O Lord, You know it altogether. You have hedged me behind and before. And laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me. It is high, I cannot attain it. Psalm 139:1-6 (NKJV)
Hugs and blessings,
Cindy
I so needed to read those words this morning....and am going to go re-read them! Thanks so much.
ReplyDeletePsalm 139 is one of my favorites. I love how David acknowledges at the beginning of it that God searches his heart. Yet he ends it by asking God to continue to do so in order to keep him seeking God. Love!
ReplyDeleteLove this Miss Cindy. Blessed me this morning and such a sweet reminder that there is nothing in my life that God doesn't know about and can't take care of. Selena Guest

Hi, Cindy! It was so good to hear from you. I have missed a few of your posts and took the time today to view them. I LOVE your Friday Favorites. Lots and lots of good ideas. The lovely bride is just SMASHING! The photos are so wonderful. She'll surely have a lot of good memories. Congratulations to her and the groom.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the wonderful reminder that GOD KNOWS US. I am just so in AWE of Him. I just witnessed His merciful workings in a family that recently had a small child that drowned. The boy has recently pulled through such an ordeal. Here is the blog address if you would like to visit. http://themourofamily.blogspot.com/ Read back several posts. You will see what the mom and dad were going through from the start and how they solely relied on God. You can truly see God at work. They have 7 children and I am a follower and do pray for them. such a lovely family.
God BLESS you, Cindy. I love your heart for God.
