{Hello friends}

  Hoping this finds my sister bloggers doing well on this windy Sunday afternoon. Yep, we've got a little wind howling around here and a tad cool but I am enjoying a lazy afternoon. My Sunday lunch crowd (my family) have left for the day so I am kicked back. Sunday menu today consisted of: Chicken and dressing Giblet gravy Italian green beans with ham Mac & Cheese Homemade chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting and chocolate ganache.  Yep, they are little spoiled at Nana's house. I am not a huge fan of cakes with icing but it must have been good as one of the grands had two slices.  These gals and I have been friends for more years than I remember and since we've all retired within a few months apart in retirement and age (dating back to 4th grade in school) we try to get together once every 4-6 weeks. Make Me Smile Monday

Yeah, yeah, yeah...it is Monday again! However, I just praise the Lord it's Monday again!!!! Wanted to share several things with you that JUST MAKES ME SMILE.

 Love these adorable and precious book markers that our Ladies Ministry Team made. We are taking this year to minister to every single employee in our school district. 166 of these "little blessings" was delivered recently.



 Considering these little herbs started out as babies they are doing quite well. Love the smell of them!


Ooh, not only does this make me smile but makes me HUNGRY! Love me a good old fashion low country boil!



Working on final preps for my nieces wedding and finished up this cute little rustic garter.
Every time I walk by this on my bakers rack it JUST MAKES ME SMILE!


Had myself a cup of hot tea in this little cutie recently and OH YES, that indeed made me smile...


How can you NOT smile when you look at this picture of my beautiful grandgirls?



Sweet little cousins...memories being made.


And...this surely brought a smile to this Nana's face when my 8 year old grandson picked me some weeds flowers from my yard and brought them to me! Worthy of a picture!



I hope this little post brings a smile to your face today! 

If we got out of the bed this morning my friend, we have something to smile about!

    It did! It brought smile after smile after smile! I have to say that my favorite was the cousins hugging. My daughter and her first cousin are the best friends in the whole world. They even went to college together and were sweet mates. Your granddaughters remind me so much of them, and honestly? When they see each other now, they STILL hug that way.

    This was a wonderful and beautiful post. I loved it.

Hiding the Ugly Hot Water Heater

 I shared that I wanted to hide my ugly hot water heater in my laundry room with you a few weeks ago. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. But after all it is a hot water heater right? So my man took a piece of wood (not real wood) but it worked and built a frame for me. So now to see if it would fit and it did. I painted it white and did not like the texture it had even after two coats of white. (rule of thumb...you get what you pay for and the wood was cheap) But I wasn't going to let it whip me!  Found some contact paper at Walmart in the gray and white. {SON-Flowers}

Don't you just love sunflowers? When I think about sunflowers I think of two things. My motherinlove who loved sunflowers and Fall. I came across a devotional written by Julia Bettencourt on sunflowers and thought it so appropriate for today as I wanted to share my sunflowers with you. Here's a few lessons we can learn from the sunflower.    Sunflowers Track The Sun.   Most plants are attracted to light but the flowering head of the sunflower actually tracks the sun following it's path and moving toward where it is in the sky all during the day. {It's Been A Hot Minute Y'all}

  Well, it's not HOT in my neck of the woods in temperature (not today anyway) but it's sure been a HOT minute since I last posted. For that I am so sorry but it seems my life has been consumed with doctor appointments, tests, and MORE tests, biopsies, surgery and so much more. One day at a time sweet Jesus is all that any of us can ask for. Wanted to pop in on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to share a little about what I've been up too.  Marty and I enjoyed a weekend at the beach before I had breast cancer surgery and took advantage of the time I had in between so many doctor appointments and testing. It was sure a good little getaway.  We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary in September. WOW! Just babies! LOL! We were high school sweethearts. Started dating at age 16.
