I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month. Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now! Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said! I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style. The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters. Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo

Well, I don't know about you but sometimes I find "waiting" hard to do. When I wanted something that usually meant I really wanted it last week! How about you? Do you find yourself becoming impatient when waiting on something?
Waiting is our biggest battle. We wait at the red light for what seems to takes 30 minutes to turn green. We wait in line at the grocery store with a buggy loaded down along with 20 others only to see that two lines are open for business. We wait for something we've ordered to come in through the mail that has been on back order and well..the waiting can try our patience.
Then there's other "waiting" periods in our life too. The ones that seem to be of a more serious nature. We wait for healing and it doesn’t happen. We wait for financial provision and still struggle to make ends meet. We wait for a new position on our job to become available and yet two years later we find we are still waiting. We wait for our loved ones to get saved. We wait for an answer to life’s purpose and find ourselves still in the same spot. Around us, everyone else is finding their answers and walking through opened doors yet at times it seems that there we are...still waiting! We look to God knowing He holds the answers. We hope, we pray, and we wait.
Most often we’re waiting for an answer or a little push in a certain direction. A direction we’ve already predetermined.
Can I get an AMEN on that one? It's kinda like praying and asking for God's Will but yet we truly hope and pray that He sees things our way. We make a list of our wants and needs (and mostly wants) and as we pray our prayers turn into more like a To-Do list than an intimate
conversation. And before we ever bow our heads and utter “Dear Lord,”
we already know exactly what we want and when we want it.
We are His creation.Yet, too often we wait as if it’s the other way around. When we focus on what He can do rather than who He is, we bind our own prayer life. The truth is...waiting has nothing to do with us.

As we wait on the Lord, our eyes and hearts are opened. And though our wait is not always easy, it’s within the waiting where we are drawn closer to our Lord.
Whatever your situation, God holds the answer. And His reality is always worth the wait.
What are you waiting for today? Trust that the God that has created you has something wonderful planned and His Way, His Timing and His Will is ALWAYS best.

DeleteI can relate! Just yesterday I was glancing through an old journal noting prayer requests that I jotted down years ago that are first now being answered. God is always at work, orchestrating the final plan, isn't He?

ReplyDeleteAmen. I doubt that we could imagine what He wants for us in this lifetime. Waiting is, indeed, a challenge sometimes. Doctor's offices or dentist offices are my pet peeves.

DeleteHurry up and wait....that seems where the Lord has me quite often. Jack's year of unemployment taught us so much, and I certainly don't wish that on anybody. Thanks for the reminder that waiting is usually for our own good. Happy Wednesday, my Friend.

DeleteThat waiting time can also be lesson time. When the situation has resolved itself one way or the other, and I look back, I'm often amazed at how the Lord used that experience to bless me or someone else. Thanks for a great post, Cindy!

DeleteA direction predetermined...WoW...that is so convicting! So many times I have given 'it' to God only to take it back because things weren't happening fast enough. I try so hard not to do that...I know His way and His timing is absolutely the BEST way. DeleteHi Cindy, Oh this is so good. Yes, I am among those who get a little impatient with waiting. But I have learned over the years, the answer to some prayers can be life long in the waiting. That is a hard reality, but God can use lots of situation to work out for us before the end result and in his WILL and time. Oh that is hard to do isn't it? It works to build our faith. Although I know HE understands our human wishes and impatience in the meantime.
