{It's A New Beginning Y'all}

  It's a tad late to wish a  Happy New Year but I sure hope that it's kicked off good for everyone. Ours kicked off with being so THANKFUL for what God has done and is doing. As I told my family as we were reminiscing over 2024, "There is a lot of 2024 I DO NOT WANT A RE-DO but the Lord has surely taught me so very much. I am truly thankful for each breath, each day, family and close friends. We had our three youngest grands for New Years Eve. We had a great time and the girls enjoyed a little fishing, bonfire with their great-grandfather and roasting marshmallows. Their great-grandfather will be 90 years old next month. As most of you know I do a monthly focus board and this makes my 3rd or 4th year. I've lost count. Only fitting that New Beginnings would be my focus for January. This has been so good for me as it sits on my kitchen counter so I can see it daily. Wonderful way to focus and quote God's Word daily.  I felt up to hosting a lunch and movie day with ...

{Prayer} The Key To All Things!

What seems to be YOUR impossible right now? May we never cease in praying!  Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

{Commitment}

You know...good relationships don’t happen by accident. They take lots of work and a lot of time . AND that equals commitment ! I looked up the word {Commitment} and here is what I found. :The state or quality of being dedicated to a cause, activity or obligation. : a promise to do or give something : a promise to be loyal to someone or something : the attitude of someone who works very hard to do or support something :an agreement or something pledged We live in a world that the word (commitment) has absolutely no meaning. Instead the motto is "Do what you want, when you want and how your want" .    People don't commit to their jobs anymore. According to stats in the year 2013, 40% quit their jobs within the first 6 months of being employed for one reason or another.   According to stats 4 out of every 7 people that committed to serve on a committee quits or falters on their commitment within the first year regardless of whether it is a...

{Sand Paper People}

I wish I could see your facial expression as you read the words {Sand Paper People}. I got a feeling you may have a few of those in your life from time to time. Sand Paper people are those that tend to {RUB} us the wrong way. Sometimes we just can't put our finger on exactly what the issue is and other times we know all too well why they tend to cause the hair on the back of our neck to stand up!  Years ago I had the opportunity to be a part of a ladies retreat where Mary Southerland spoke. If you aren't familiar with her I recommend that you purchase her book called.... YOU GUESSED IT ..."Sandpaper people".  It is an eye opener and gets right down to the nitty-gritty of the subject at hand. It is filled with so much truth and lavished with the Word of God. She tells this story and it goes like this:    The artist came to the park every day when the light was just right, positioning his easel and paints under the same familiar shade ...
