Well, it's not HOT in my neck of the woods in temperature (not today anyway) but it's sure been a HOT minute since I last posted. For that I am so sorry but it seems my life has been consumed with doctor appointments, tests, and MORE tests, biopsies, surgery and so much more. One day at a time sweet Jesus is all that any of us can ask for. Wanted to pop in on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to share a little about what I've been up too. Marty and I enjoyed a weekend at the beach before I had breast cancer surgery and took advantage of the time I had in between so many doctor appointments and testing. It was sure a good little getaway. We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary in September. WOW! Just babies! LOL! We were high school sweethearts. Started dating at age 16. Married at age 18 and started a family at age 20. We celebrated Marty's birthday in October. He says that he's feeling his age these days. LOL! He still works 4 days a week and has a long commu
What a fun time...Flip flops, Friends and Fellowship! Several of us ladies got together from our ladies ministry team and had a great time.
Our hostess was the best! She welcomed us into her beautiful home and made everyone feel "right at home"...flip flops and all!
Don't you just love her festive summer wreath?
This was the first time I've ever walked into someones home with a coconut tree! WE ALL LOVED IT! I felt like I was in Hawaii.
Such a cute table setting. Everything was a beach theme and went so well with the theme of our social.
Nuts and mints filled these flip flops!
Rainbow punch, lemonade and water.
I made us a flip flop cake. I took the leftover cake (that did not have icing on it) and froze it. I see a truffle coming in the near future.
And some sand pudding.
Which my family loved too!
Edible sunglasses. Ooh...the salted caramel was my favorite.
Look at these cute flip flops! Love the rag tie look.
My friend won the cutest pair of flip flops so she received a beach bucket full of foot goodies.
We had this little cutie with us too! She may be our next member of the Ladies Ministry Team at church.
Our hostess with the Mostess! We gave her a basket full of beach goodies for having us in her home.
We all brought a beach towel to exchange with our prayer request tucked inside the gift bags.
We each wrote our prayer request on the back of these cute book markers.
Sharing just a couple of pictures of some cute towels.
Nothing like have a little fellowship time with sisters in Christ.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.
Fellowship is a great privilege. It is how God meets our needs--it is His "supply line". Are we taking advantage of this sweet gift that God has given to us?
Hope you all have a wonderful and safe July 4th.

DeleteHi CIndy! WOW! How exciting to discover a beautiful new blog and lovely blogger! This was all SO adorable and fun! I adore your theme! I am a flip flop gal so this was everything I love! Great post!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. The theme was a good one to have for summer for sure.
DeleteWhat a fun idea for a party! Love that flip flop cake...and the sunglasses.
ReplyDeleteI love flip flops, sand, the beach. We used to live in Florida (Volusia County), but we moved to Idaho 16 years ago. My last trip to the beach was in 2013, when I was in Florida visiting my in-laws.
If you like flip flops, you should look into "switch flops." They are the most ingenious thing ever. Flip flop-style shoes (in a variety of styles and heights), with straps that affix by velcro. That way, you can change the straps and change your whole look. I have about 35 pair of shoes, just by switching the straps.
Anyhow, blessings,
Patti @ Embracing Home
WOW Patti! I will have to check into those flip flops. Thanks for stopping by. We did have a great time with our flipflop party!

Awe sweet Mary! No mam I am not a pro at anything! LOL! I am what they call a jack of all trades and a master of none. But I sure love the compliment from your daughter.
