Well, it's not HOT in my neck of the woods in temperature (not today anyway) but it's sure been a HOT minute since I last posted. For that I am so sorry but it seems my life has been consumed with doctor appointments, tests, and MORE tests, biopsies, surgery and so much more. One day at a time sweet Jesus is all that any of us can ask for. Wanted to pop in on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to share a little about what I've been up too. Marty and I enjoyed a weekend at the beach before I had breast cancer surgery and took advantage of the time I had in between so many doctor appointments and testing. It was sure a good little getaway. We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary in September. WOW! Just babies! LOL! We were high school sweethearts. Started dating at age 16. Married at age 18 and started a family at age 20. We celebrated Marty's birthday in October. He says that he's feeling his age these days. LOL! He still works 4 days a week and has a long commu...
If Dorothy can click her heels together and get to Kansas then I can click my flip flops together and get to the beach!!! RIGHT?
A comfy chair and book in my hand...I bought me a new book to read and I hid it from myself so I wouldn't go ahead and read it! (Now to find it)
Every now and then I will walk along the beach and pick up some sea shells...
Then I might just sit out here for a while and enjoy a diet coke....

And when I'm tired of that I will stroll into the water and splash around (But I won't be going up into the Shark's house I can assure you)
Then I will casually walk back to this cute little cottage we will be staying at NEXT WEEK!

Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Oh my gosh. I want to be there. I know you will enjoy every minute. I looked it up and have bookmarked it for a visit this year.
ReplyDeleteI am so ready to get away for a few days. I think we all need that from time to time. I went through airbnb and so glad I did. Trusting sight for sure and no more pricier than anywhere else. I rather deal with owners directly. Can't wait to share with you next week as I hope to snap a few pictures. Thanks for stopping by my friend.
DeleteEnjoy every minute of your time at the beach, my friend. I would love a week at the beach but we're heading to the mountains for a few days. Adventures await!
ReplyDelete~Adrienne~
Thanks my friend. I saw your beach post! WOW! What a great time you had. I know you will enjoy the mountains as well. I love the mountains but in the winter months if possible. I just like the cool brisk mornings with a cup of coffee sitting on the porch over looking the mountains. But....I will take the beach next week too! LOL!
DeleteWhat a nice vacation spot! I love it. You are going to have so much fun just in the house much less the beach when it is not so crowded since most schools have started. Can't wait to hear and see more of your getaway.
ReplyDeleteI would love to meet you sometime, Cindy. I think we could talk for hours. Your comment to me today was so nice. Thanks so much. You made my day!
Awe Bonnie, I would love to meet you as well. My first blogging friend I ever got to meet and spend a little time with was Debbie from Breathing in Grace. We have become such special friends over the years. Maybe the Lord will open a door for us! Yes, the house looks adorable. It's always nice to have a different scenery every now and then for sure. When I grow up Bonnie I hope to do tablescapes like you my friend!
DeleteHello Cindy, what a lovely vacation. I could stand a week or more of this. How special your hubby cooks. The cottage is charming. It sounds like you have it all planned out. Blessings, Linda
ReplyDeleteLinda, my husband likes to cook breakfast and cook outside. He loves to grill. Now he ain't about to come inside and cook no regular meal. LOL! But he does fix a mean breakfast! LOL!
DeleteI know you have been wanting to go to the beach for a few days. Good for you! The cottage looks so cute. Sounds like the perfect time to go to the beach too as this time of the year people start gearing back up for school and have already been on their vacations for the summer. Don't get too much sun!
ReplyDeleteConnie Royals
Connie, I've got my straw hat, sunscreen, umbrella and sunshades! I'm ready! I can remember years ago when I loved sitting in the sun... Now I am too old and too fat to be hot! LOL!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful time on that beach! Looks inviting and I know you'll have fun. Stay safe and enjoy! Blessing and hugs to you, dear Cindy.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Mary.

DeleteLooks like such a lovely place to stay at! Love the colors of the outside furniture!! We used to go to the beach every year but I can not stand the sun and the heat due to auto immune disease so we no longer go....Thanks for visiting!
